THE BALL

[Today is the day of the ball, and as such the entry to the Grand Ball Room is wide open, a sound of music echoing through the halls. Not too far away are signs pointing to the general area, intended to help those who are new as well as remind those who are interested.

The room itself seems incredibly clean, thanks to a few enchanted brooms, some of which are still there to clean up any messes from the food. Speaking of food, there is a large table with many delicious meals to choose from, from classy foods to simpler snacks such as chips and even a bit of treats for the children and others who enjoy sweets. And of course, beverages are present, such as punch, water, soft drinks, and even a bit of wine for the adults. Off to the side is an ice box, which may in fact contain sea salt ice cream.

Similar to the last ball, there is a comfortable area set off to the side for those who would rather relax, maybe take a break from dancing. It consists of comfortable chairs and couches for the guests, and even smaller tables for beverages.

Of course, the main attraction is the dance floor itself, which is dimly lit by a chandelier and the occasional candles here and there. The aforementioned music at the moment is classical, a sort of waltz and seems to be coming from no apparent source-- but one may notice somewhere in the ball room that Mickey himself is present, dressed not only in proper masquerade attire, but also with a familiar hat.

Anyone is welcome to enjoy the ball. However, if trouble should arise Mickey does have a Keyblade and would be more than willing to intervene; this is meant for enjoyment, not violence.]

*just grins and opens the door, her eyes wide when she sees the pool -- it's no beach, and no pool-at-home, but it's impressive and looks fun*

Yeah.

[grins, bumping shoulders with her slightly.]

I like coming to this pool, because no one's hardly ever here. It's relaxing.

[looks down at himself. oh -- probably shouldn't be swimming in a tux.]

*is looking down at her dress, too*

... well, at least it's easy to find more clothes?

*and Sora might be shocked a little as Kairi ditches the heels and jumps into the pool, formal and all!*

Whoa, wait --!

[blinks, surprised by and a little attracted to her boldness! after a minute he pulls off the shoes and his coat, and dives in after her.]

*comes up laughing, her fancy topknot now reduced to a mess of red strands*

[pops up close by, water dripping down his bangs and down his nose. that nice white dress shirt is ruined and transparent, and clinging to him uncomfortably, but Sora's too busy laughing to care.]

*is still laughing a bit, but smoothes down some of your spikes*

Sorry, you ruined your tux...

Don't worry about it.

[takes a hold of her wrist and tugs her closer.]

*she comes closer, just kicking to stay afloat*

[he is tall enough to stand, so slides an arm around her waist, and reaches up with his free hand to gently brush away strands of hair clinging to her forehead.]

... You know, I can't say I thought I'd wind up in a pool tonight.

*lucky you :< she'll come closer still, and smiles at that touch*

Yeah, well... sometimes there just needs to be a change of plans.

Yeah? I still kind of feel like dancing, myself.

[clasps her hand in his, and lifts their arms in position to ballroom dance. what a goober.]

*well it's a good thing for you that she loves that romantic attitude, and just kicks to keep herself in time with you, a big, dorky smile on her face*

[it makes him smile just as wide, seeing her look so happy. he bends down a bit so they can dance cheek-to-cheek -- he's a little shy about kissing again right now, but it probably won't last long.]

*she sighs happily, pressing herself closer to him -- those sequins might be poking him in the chest now*

[that's okay, he hardly even notices; he just runs his hand down the back of her arm and to her shoulderblade on its journey to hug her stronger.]

*it doesn't seem to matter where they dance, but dancing turns to swaying, and swaying turns to just holding one another, and she's perfectly okay with this, nuzzling against him gently and closing her violet eyes*

[and after a while of just holding each other, he smooths his hand down her back and pulls away slightly to look down at her.]

*she looks back up at you, just examining your facial features*

[he just watches her in return for the time being, lips turned up in a slight smile and eyes shining.]

*she's a bit nervous about asking, but she will take a chance*

... so... will you be my boyfriend?

[his face flushes bright red again, and he answers without even taking a breath.]

Of course I will.

*it's obvious from the look on her face that her brain is going 'eeeeeeee!!!'*

[he thinks that's the prettiest she's been all night, and leans in to steal another kiss; he's a little hasty but hopefully he doesn't catch her too off guard.]

*she is more than happy to engage in that kiss, tasting chlorine and something distinctly Sora, wrapping her arms around his neck*
