[he's seated in a large beanbag chair with Molly on his lap, petting him and looking faintly annoyed with the world at large. after a moment he pauses as if listening to something, then leans down and hugs the kitten.]

I know it's uncomfortable, Kai, but I don't know how to fix this.

(ooc: You heard him. :| I thought switching with his kitten would be humorous.)

*he picks you up then, and lets you sit on his lap while he pets*

[Molly's tempted to try and wander off while Kaikitten makes himself comfortable.]

[he figures as much, so he just settles down against the wall as far from them as he can, drawing his knees to his chest.]

*sees you out of the corner of his eye and frowns a little*

You can sit on a chair instead of the floor.

*d'awwww Kaikitten is all floppy*

[doesn't respond, closing his eyes and ignoring them. Kaikitten is still sleepily batting at Ri.]

*sighs and cradles Kaikitten against his chest as he stands, then goes to you and picks you up and sets you on his hip; there is no escape!*

[--! resists the urge to flail.]

What are you doing?

Carrying you.

*walking down the hallway nao*

Because you're tired and that will make you crankier so it's time for your nap.

Kai always says that, too. I still make him take his naps. He's a little boy and you're in his body.

*lalala goes to Kai's room*

I don't want to sleep.

*sets you on the bed and takes your shoes off, etc., to get you comfy*

A rather abrupt change in attitude towards me.

[looks to Kaikitten, who is already waking up again. silly kitten.]

I don't sleep if he isn't.

*puts Kaikitten on your chest then pulls the covers up*

[settles reluctantly, hands immediately moving to smooth Kaikitten's fur.]

*good thing he's used to cranky children*

[as much as he doesn't want to sleep, having a child's body catches up with him, and soon both child and kitten are curled up and sleeping.]

*he'll take that as a win and makes sure you're covered properly and warm*

[it's a good thing you changed your tune there, Ri; Molly was starting to consider leaving once the swap was over.]
