[here's a new arrival, an Axel with a Sunagakure hitai-ate around his neck, stereotypical Naruto sandals on his feet, and an otherwise plain outfit apart from the loose-fitting black jacket, vaguely reminiscent of an Org coat. Not that he needs flashy clothes; his hair does enough attention-grabbing on its own. He prowls around a bit, getting his bearings, then sprawls on a couch somewhere like he owns the place, one leg hooked over the back of it. Within a few minutes appears to be asleep, though he's probably not.]

I was told by one that he knew a Vexen who died by fire. I do not suppose you would know anything about that? [watching the flame with well-contained interest]

Maybe~. And maybe not. [being obnoxious on purpose; one of his favorite hobbies is annoying tightasses like Vexen until they crack, even a little bit] If you don't even recognize me, I don't see why it really matters all that much. [flips the fire back into his hand, snuffing it out by closing his fingers around it]

[eyeroll] So specific. [there are few subjects that can get him well and truly cracked, good luck looking for them] It matters because if you do know anything about it, I know whether or not to avoid whatever version of you is running about back home.

I'd be more worried about whatever version of Pink-haired Man you've got. I was just following orders -- he was the one with the idea to have me do it in the first place. [sprawls more, tanktop riding up to show a flash of his skinny waist]

...I see. I shall keep that in mind then. [doesn't even glance at the skin showing, has no interest in such things] And what is "Pink-haired Man"'s name?

Marluxia, though you can get some interesting reactions out of him sometimes if you call him Mar-Mar. [grins] I'd watch out for him and Larxene, anyway. They tend to be in cahoots with each other about most things.

[nods slowly] Thank you for this information, Axel.

No problem. [waves a hand carelessly; if Vexen knew Axel at all, he'd realize that no one gets info from Axel for free, except maybe Roxas. He'll be coming to collect at some point. >3] I know what a pain they can be sometimes. Just trying to help out~.

[and if Axel knew this Vexen at all, he'd know that depending on what he tries to collect, it may very well be useless] ...I'm sure.

[yeah, this shit always works better when the people involved are from the same world, y'know?]

So have you got any special abilities or anything? [always trying to find advantages over people or things he has to watch out for]

Special abilities? Like some of this place's occupants? Nothing. I am just a regular human. [oh, please feel free to try]

Hm. Interesting. [and he's got one already, if Vexen doesn't have power over ice. >3]

Is it? [well if things happen, Vexen's always got that nice little compartment full of chemicals in his briefcase ♥]

[smiles enigmatically] Sure, why wouldn't it be? [oshi-- wait, nevermind, he can attack from far enough outside the blast radius to escape unscathed. :D]

[for some reason he doesn't trust that smile one bit] It puts me at a bit of a disadvantage to the majority of the people here. [almost reaches up to adjust his glasses before realizing they're still in his briefcase]

[good, he shouldn't] True, but you seem like a smart fellow. I'm sure you could out-clever most of the people here.

[snorts] Now you're just trying to get something.

[pouts] That's not very nice, Vexen. I was just paying you a compliment, after all. [his eyes have a mischievous glint to them, though, that says otherwise, and that he knows he's been found out]

[shrugs a shoulder carelessly] I am not usually referred to as "nice", Axel. If your Vexen was anything like myself, you would not expect "nice". Besides, that was just a tad over the top. [he has a terrible feeling about this in general, but he's not backing down]

[sits up properly; you should be worried, even though he did it so casually that he might actually just be sitting up, not getting ready to pounce on Vexen or anything] You're nicer than some people I know, though not by much, granted. And was it? Damn, that means I'm trying too hard again.

[is eyeing him, but probably wouldn't be able to move out of the way fast enough if Axel did decide he was going to pounce] Perhaps I am, though I have not met any of the people you know and would not be able to compare. Please, do not try at all. ["You may hurt yourself" is left unsaid]

Hm. Alright then~. [waits another moment, then launches himself off the couch with the kind of speed that only ninjas and large African cats have, tackling Vexen to the floor and sending the briefcase flying]

[tries to get away but can't and hits the ground hard, grimacing as his briefcase skitters across the floor and out of reach. oh, ow, back pain. he's definitely going to feel this tomorrow.]

[sits on him, grinning like a madman] Man, your reflexes suck. You wouldn't last two seconds where I come from.

[tries to shove him off] Well thankfully I am not from your world! Now get off!
