[Face down on a sofa somewhere in the DR is Kira. She's wearing the crumpled remains of a sparkly (and short) party dress, she's lost one of her heels, her makeup is smudged over her sleeping face, and her other foot is hanging off the arm of the sofa. She may or may not have snuck out last night to party the night away with her friends. And Kira may or may not have gotten drunk for the first time, which explains her current state.

Maybe someone should wake her up. She might be able to still sneak back home without getting caught! Doubtful. Or maybe you're one of her friends and are in the same state Kira is. Who knows?]

[That's fine, he should have plenty of time to finish her makeup by then. It's not her skill level, but she shouldn't faint in horror if she sees it. He gives her a gentle shake once he's done.]

Nope. Partying's over. Time to go home.

[He'll pick her up and try setting her on her feet.]

[she'll still be wobbly! Kira loves New Year's Eve because everyone is always so happy and full of joy and it makes her feel happy and bursting with Light so she feels like she could have fun forever even though she's about ready to just pass out]

'm asleep? Is this a dream? I'll be late for the party!

[He pokes her nose, standing back to see how well she walks.]

[that's familiar isn't it; also Kira and walking aren't friends, what with the one high heel and all]

[He puts his hands on his shoulders and guides her to sit down on the counter again.]

First of all, when you say that all I can picture is any time I did see you naked when we were like, five or something. Sit down, Cinderella.

That doesn't count. Babies and little kids mostly look the same and I've seen your naked butt more times than is healthy.

[Yoink! He steals her remaining shoe and backs off, grinning.]

No, he's way spoiled. You know I don't always keep pets that long.

That's just 'cuz you can't catch him to do horrible things to him.

[Aden will have to catch her as she flails and stumbles into him yet again]

[Fuck it, he'll haul her up again and start carrying her off.]

You catch me all the time but that's not fair 'cuz Oliver has four legs. Paws. He has more.

[that's probably the best bet, all things considered; Kira will be laying her head on Aden's shoulder, not caring about being hauled like a sack of potatoes]

[she's much more agreeable when she's drunk and sleepy isn't she? and Aden can either take her home (and probably face her parents) or to his place... or leave her in a hallway somewhere whatever]

[She really is. And of course he's not going to abandon her in a hallway or something, jeez. It's a toss up between her place or his, and much as he'd like to spare her from the coming storm, he figures if she goes missing they're more likely to panic. Home it is.]

D-did you have fun like me, Aden? We should both have lots of fun 'cuz it's New Year's.

[well Aden and Kira will be able to dodge a bullet if they go straight to Kira's home because Daddy's account isn't made yet because things will be quiet with no panicking; even parents need to sleep, especially if they had champagne and ringing in the new year too, plus babies wake early]

[She had to, they were enormous and insane and he walked away with various bits of clothing and hair smoking. He's definitely taking her home, but he's braced to take the heat.]

[Kira is going to start giggling again as she remembers all the bright colors, and she's going to be somewhat loud, which echos down the quiet hallways]
