[Face down on a sofa somewhere in the DR is Kira. She's wearing the crumpled remains of a sparkly (and short) party dress, she's lost one of her heels, her makeup is smudged over her sleeping face, and her other foot is hanging off the arm of the sofa. She may or may not have snuck out last night to party the night away with her friends. And Kira may or may not have gotten drunk for the first time, which explains her current state.

Maybe someone should wake her up. She might be able to still sneak back home without getting caught! ~~Doubtful.~~ Or maybe you're one of her friends and are in the same state Kira is. Who knows?]

[She really is. And of course he's not going to abandon her in a hallway or something, jeez. It's a toss up between her place or his, and much as he'd like to spare her from the coming storm, he figures if she goes missing they're more likely to panic. Home it is.]

D-did you have fun like me, Aden? We should both have lots of fun 'cuz it's New Year's.

[well Aden and Kira will be able to dodge a bullet if they go straight to Kira's home ~~because Daddy's account isn't made yet~~ because things will be quiet with no panicking; even parents need to sleep, especially if they had champagne and ringing in the new year too, plus babies wake early]

Boat loads. Didn't you see the fireworks?

[She had to, they were enormous and insane and he walked away with various bits of clothing and hair smoking. He's definitely taking her home, but he's braced to take the heat.]

They were awesome! You should make them all the time.

[Kira is going to start giggling again as she remembers all the bright colors, and she's going to be somewhat loud, which echos down the quiet hallways]

Nah, just for special occasions. Now be quiet, we need to be sneaky here.

[giggling giggling why aren't you laughing because that was hilarious]

[Because he's thinking Uncle Axel would be embarrassed for her. He bumps his head against hers, though, smirking.]

Yeah, something you fail at.

Do not! Imma... Imma totally great ninja!

[yes yes she's a fail ninja, except when it comes to shopping and fashion and such, not that she minds]

[He shifts her up a bit and will keep a steady, gentle grip on her along the way.]

Right. Super great.

[Now the question is will the doors be unlocked or does he have to ~~frisk her~~ do some magic?]

[you're on the Approved Persons List, so the door will be unlocked; also Kira doesn't have pockets in her outfit and couldn't fit her keys]

[He could've probably manipulated some things to try and get the door open, but it's more likely he would've failed. Either way, when he opens the door he's very cautious and quiet about it, leaning down to whisper in her ear.]

Play a game with me and be as quiet as you can. If you do a good job I'll bring you a present.

I want a present!

[look she's even whispering because presents are good motivation; also it's quite lucky that Kira's room is somewhat secluded from the other bedrooms, the perk of being the only teenage girl left in the 'house']

Then you'd better be quiet.

[He's whispering too, and that's the last he'll say. He doesn't bother turning the lights on if they're off -- he can see well enough in the dark that it should be easy to make it to her room.]

[Kira will be quiet as a mouse because she really wants a present; also, she's nodding off again and it's easy to find her room because her door is pink and has her name on it in sparkly glitter words ~~dazzling~~]

[Fantastic. Well, he shifts her a little so he can free an arm up to push open her door oh so cautiously.]

[It's safe! And reasonably tidy except for the explosion of clothes near her overly-large closet because she had to find just the right outfit for tonight]

[Good! She can clean that tomorrow when she's grounded. He's just going to set her gently on the bed, hoping he doesn't startle her awake or anything.]

[Kira will just curl up, though one of her hands is still latched on Aden's sleeve]

[Then once his hands are free he will carefully start prying her fingers off, one by one.]

Mphh... Aden?

[Kira will stir a bit and blink at Aden sleepily]

Bedtime. The sooner you sleep and wake up, the sooner you'll get your present.

Oh... I still want a narwhal.

[Kira will close her eyes again because she's very tired and Aden brought her home so things are okay]

I'll do my best.

[He gives her hair a soft pat and then starts backing away from the bed. Hopefully she'll get to sleep for a while.]
