[ The more things change, the more they stay the same, and things are changing. It's a bit like falling into Wonderland. For those from a universe where 'Ansem' destroyed entire worlds, they might it find familiar, reminiscent of the dark outskirts of the worlds leftover. Soras, especially, will find the way they scatter and melt into nothing familiar. The entire dressing room is shrinking. As the worlds unmerge and become their own, disconnected from the makeshift world around them, things are reverting back to how they were. The outermost walls of the apartment building are expanding, the actual apartments themselves shifting around like a Rubik's Cube, down one, to the side, turning in place. Some go tumbling like a box kicked down a flight of stairs. Houses are sliding closer, squashed together, yards shrinking to fit a uniform length.

When things stop and the dust settles, most people will find the result just as familiar. Anyone who's been here longer than a year surely will. We're back to the original layout of the dressing room; the endless apartments. There's no end in sight, but there's also no roof, and the hallways aren't pristine. Most of them look the same, or similar enough, but they still seem outdoors. Concrete sidewalks and round stone walkways in dirt roads, desert passages made of sand and stone, grassy halls lined with vines and flowers up doorframes, or wet, murky swamps with steps leading up to rooms. There are halls for where people live, but they're virtually indistinguishable from the other halls. The rooms where nothing is predictable. The houses are all along the same 'hall', winding in a large curve back to the main room, which is where all of the halls can be accessed, the main kitchen, and special doors to go to each and every World. All that remains from before is the river, winding through the halls.

Trams still run along the outskirts, because no matter how cluttered and tight things are again, the place really is endless.

And everywhere, everywhere there are colorful bubbles floating through the air, across water, even stuck in trees. Some are clear, some filled with colored smoke, and some dripping. They crackle like glass and burst into nothing when touched, hitting the one responsible for popping them with a spell. It's the New Year, after all. Has to start off with a bang. ]

{ ooc ; Happy New Year, DR! It was voted on a while back on LJ, and now it's happening. Maybe this fresh start (in more ways than one!) will stir in a little more life. As with tradition, spells are recycled during the New Year, so! The available spells to hit your character with are:

- age character up or down
- character speaks only the truth
- character becomes an animal or has animal traits
- fear spell (character undergoes their worst fears)
- love arrows (causes the character to fall in love with the first person they see)
- aphrodisiac (character becomes unbearably aroused, and stays that way without the help of another person)
- alignment swap (good becomes bad, bad becomes good, grey areas are up to you)
- power swap (element changes to opposite, or switches abilities with another character)
- body swap (two characters swap bodies)
- sex swap (physical sex changes)

[this guy woke up from all the shifting around, left his den to see what was going on, and ran right into a fear spell bubble. now he's panicking, seeing hunters after him for his scales and teeth, and there's no one of his tribe anywhere. there's no one, in fact, anywhere near him, except for the shadowy hunters, who he's already spit at to absolutely no avail. not many people chose to live in Radiant Garden, if anyone even did besides him. he's trying to stay on the move to keep away from the ones after him, and periodically letting out loud, sharp noises that carry a huge distance and echo off all the buildings. he's calling for help, from anyone, but no one's around (yet).]

[This is a hallway that starts off as a grassy path, littered with large stones for stepping on, and melts into soft white sand and the smell of the ocean. Riku's stumbling out of a doorway, a little jarred from the feeling of her apartment moving while she was inside. She looks dizzy, and yelps when she stumbles backwards into a large bubble filled with grey smoke that makes her cough.]

Axel! Axel, get down!

[Kairi's outside, trying to coax her orange tabby cat (Axel) down from the roof of someone's house. There's a small trail of bubbles floating around her, and a pair of small swan wings already poking out the back of her dress.]

[The changed surroundings wouldn't be familiar to Vexen even if she remembered the DR right at this very moment because she hadn't been in the DR that long.

Since she is now tiny it doesn't bother her nearly as much as it might normally. Being an incredibly curious little girl, all of this is just really, really interesting. So all the hallways must be explored and no door left unopened.
If any of those doors happen to be someone's front door... well, she doesn't really care.]

[Nocturne, being a Demyx at heart despite not using the name anymore, is out investigating the bubbles. He's currently following the river, watching a particular cloud of bubbles that seems to have congregated above it. Of course, he isn't paying too much attention, and seems to have forgotten that the hallway itself has bubbles, too - and he's just walked into one, popping it and showering himself with something that feels like water but smells an awful lot like pineapples.]

((OOC: Since I'm indecisive, request a spell for him to have been hit with! Or I can roll randomly (in which case feel free to anti-request any you don't want to deal with). Either way.))

[Kai looks... decidedly old! in his fifties, at least, but the spell had the decency to age him gracefully. he's still quite fit, but there's grey in his hair and laugh lines creasing his face. he's exploring absentmindedly, seemingly unbothered by the rather large change in age. too bad the mun is too damn lazy to actually get an aged icon for him.]

[Once the place stopped moving, Achilies decided to take a look around. The place didn't seem that bad.

...Until he opened a door and came face to face with a WALL OF TRUTH BUBBLES that immediately swarm him, popping everywhere and effectively dragging him into the new years spell. There may have been a couple of other bubbles in there with the truth ones as well, but he doesn't seem to be affected by them yet at least.

This should end well.]

[Ooh, someone's not happy. Kurt - in his hybrid form here, he'd had to scramble to not get squashed by a shrinking corridor when things changed, but not in the mood to play mister nice human-looks - is currently taking his frustrations out on whatever he can reach.

Damn you. Just damn you. Fresh air, sure, but this again?!

He might want to watch out for that bubble drifting over his head, though...]

[It's a wonder this boy isn't hitting and popping more bubbles with the way he's spazzing and looking around with a groan. With the move happening while 'he' was outside, he's trying not to freak out especially after seeing his surroundings move. He's looking at himself now, looking quite pissed and confused.]

[Ugh. This mess again. Still, this Xehanort's coping alright, by the looks of things: it seems so much more practical to her to have things handy. As it is, she's decided to get down to work, with a pencil and paper to hand; she's starting to make notes.

Let's see where everything's ended up, hm?]

[Watch out for that scared kid running through the halls. Riku wasn't twelve just a couple minutes ago, and he's never experienced a deaging spell before. Nor was he around the first time the DR changed, so he's extremely disoriented and anxious.

He was also outside when everything changed, so he has no idea where his apartment is or where to start trying to find it.]
