[ The more things change, the more they stay the same, and things are changing. It's a bit like falling into Wonderland. For those from a universe where 'Ansem' destroyed entire worlds, they might it find familiar, reminiscent of the dark outskirts of the worlds leftover. Soras, especially, will find the way they scatter and melt into nothing familiar. The entire dressing room is shrinking. As the worlds unmerge and become their own, disconnected from the makeshift world around them, things are reverting back to how they were. The outermost walls of the apartment building are expanding, the actual apartments themselves shifting around like a Rubik's Cube, down one, to the side, turning in place. Some go tumbling like a box kicked down a flight of stairs. Houses are sliding closer, squashed together, yards shrinking to fit a uniform length.

When things stop and the dust settles, most people will find the result just as familiar. Anyone who's been here longer than a year surely will. We're back to the original layout of the dressing room; the endless apartments. There's no end in sight, but there's also no roof, and the hallways aren't pristine. Most of them look the same, or similar enough, but they still seem outdoors. Concrete sidewalks and round stone walkways in dirt roads, desert passages made of sand and stone, grassy halls lined with vines and flowers up doorframes, or wet, murky swamps with steps leading up to rooms. There are halls for where people live, but they're virtually indistinguishable from the other halls. The rooms where nothing is predictable. The houses are all along the same 'hall', winding in a large curve back to the main room, which is where all of the halls can be accessed, the main kitchen, and special doors to go to each and every World. All that remains from before is the river, winding through the halls.

Trams still run along the outskirts, because no matter how cluttered and tight things are again, the place really is endless.

And everywhere, everywhere there are colorful bubbles floating through the air, across water, even stuck in trees. Some are clear, some filled with colored smoke, and some dripping. They crackle like glass and burst into nothing when touched, hitting the one responsible for popping them with a spell. It's the New Year, after all. Has to start off with a bang. ]

{ ooc ; Happy New Year, DR! It was voted on a while back on LJ, and now it's happening. Maybe this fresh start (in more ways than one!) will stir in a little more life. As with tradition, spells are recycled during the New Year, so! The available spells to hit your character with are:

- age character up or down
- character speaks only the truth
- character becomes an animal or has animal traits
- fear spell (character undergoes their worst fears)
- love arrows (causes the character to fall in love with the first person they see)
- aphrodisiac (character becomes unbearably aroused, and stays that way without the help of another person)
- alignment swap (good becomes bad, bad becomes good, grey areas are up to you)
- power swap (element changes to opposite, or switches abilities with another character)
- body swap (two characters swap bodies)
- sex swap (physical sex changes)

I think so. I don't think they'll actually hurt you, though.

[he takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly, most of the tension leaving his body. he trusts Nami, so if Nami says they won't hurt him, then he feels safe.]

It wasss very upssetting, that right after thingss sshifted around. I did not know anything about what wasss happening.

I understand. That's why I came looking for you, even though I should still be resting.

A... little tired. I got hit with something as well.

[oh no why would you do that. he exhales a little shakily, but doesn't pull away. he doesn't want Axel to have to get all scared again or something.]

[because something needs to be done with the fact that you got hit with an arousal spell and the only person around is your naga buddy. :U he's still too distracted and busy fussing over Nami to notice any out of place scents here, but he will soon enough.]

[he'll explain why he even knows what humans need when they're aroused, if Nami asks. :Db]

I'm not sure I want to know how you know how to help.

It iss ssimply that ssome humanss, the oness who did not want to hunt uss, found uss exssotic and appealing. To be with a naga even oncsse was a point of pride.

[his whole attitude about this is pretty casual and unconcerned; most naga found the whole thing kind of bemusing, but w/e, they usually got material goods traded for it. \o/]

[yes, well. stop thinking about it, then. :P Axel's shifting a little to run his fingers through Nami's hair soothingly, though it could be to help ~get him in the mood~, because he doesn't want Nami to suffer through this if he doesn't have to, and he's pretty sure Nami doesn't have anyone like that to go to instead.]

...there aren't many others who could help me right now, and I'm certain most of them would be far too awkward with it.

[there's Kai, who would probably freak out a little, and Riku, who would probably freak out a lot. there's Kai's husbando of course, but he'd rather not make Kai uncomfortable with that, either.]

[are you kidding, ninxel would jump at the chance. he'd at least have the courtesy to pretend he was uncomfortable with it for Kai's sake, but yeah. also gdit Nami that is still not a definitive answer.]

I exsspect sso. Alsso would it not be uncomfortable to walk all the way back in thiss sstate?

It... probably would, yes. I could take a portal, but that is a bit more difficult and troublesome with a heart.

[s-sigh. he seems to be avoiding looking at Axel.]

I am sssorry, I know you would rather not have to do anything at all. Come, you ssshould get more comfortable.

[he shifts around to be a more supportive and comfy thing for Nami to recline against or sit on or whatever; he's keeping his hands on Nami but is otherwise leaving it up to him how he positions himself.]

[he will end up nestled against Axel comfortably, sighing as he gets settled. this is ridiculous, he shouldn't feel so awkward about it.]

[it's understandable, but he really shouldn't, because if there's anyone who will not make a big thing of this and will in fact be surprised if it's even mentioned after the fact, it's this guy right here. Axel wraps one arm around Nami's side, hand resting on his hip, and slides the other arm around to gently rub the heel of his hand against the front of Nami's pants.]

[he lets out a small, shuddering breath and lets his eyes flutter closed. indeed, Axel is perhaps the very best person for Nami to do this with, even if it hadn't really crossed his mind when he first got hit by the bubble causing his problem.]

[most single/asexual/whatever people probably never do have someone in mind when this happens. that's half of why it sucks so much, because there's the guilt over hooking up with the closest person just because you were hit by a spell. Axel keeps up the rubbing, slowly making it less gentle, and slides his other hand up under Nami's shirt to rest against his ribs, being super careful to not bring his claws into things.]

[for the record, he's been touched down there all of like, twice. ever. including now! so he'll at least be getting off relatively quick. he seems to be one of those naturally quiet types, all hitched breaths and pressing into the rubbing. one of his hands is going to his waistband, because he's pretty sure just rubbing isn't going to cut it (at least for the spell!)]
