[ Happy Halloween, DR! Wait, what do you mean it's not Halloween? It certainly feels like it today. Whether you're getting woken up by your door being beaten in, slipping in a sudden trail of blood, or just running into a friend shambling down the hall sans limbs, today's atmosphere seems like it might be better suited for October.

The dressing room has been overrun with the walking dead. Familiar faces and not, they're everywhere, and they come in a variety. Slow, fast, decaying, even some that look like they're still alive. Some wander alone, and some show up in groups, while others are rare, with more extreme infections. Even animals wander the halls, proven not immune to whatever's broken out in the DR. The best option here? Stick together to survive. ]

{ mod's bored, have fun. You can use zombies of any kind to back you up. Here are some examples. Regardless of how they are in canon, these will be extremely resistant to magic, so practice those headshots and try not to get bitten. }

[There's a creak from the cabinet door as Kairi peeks out, expression full of worry going into panic. She's shaking her head, trying to get his attention.]

[Ri catches the slight movement and frowns even more once he spots Kairi and her situation. He doesn't care if it catches the dogs' attention, he'll step more into view so the dogs don't focus on her.]

Kairi, don't watch.

[She hesitates, but pulls the door closed again and squeezes her eyes shut.]

Don't come out until I tell you.

[Ri really really hates zombies, especially if they're threatening cute children]

Dark Firaga!

[There's a quiet scream from her end, but Kairi doesn't move or look at all. The dogs, on the other hand, are going to go for the throat.]

[Ri was hoping that the magic fire would burn the bastards to a crisp, but he knows better than to get cocky around zombies. He's seen too many movies. So he's ready and the first zombie dog that gets close enough is going to have Soul eater smashing into its head.]

[They'll burn! Or at least one of them will. They're vicious, but easy to take down for someone like Ri. Kairi's probably crying from the noise by now.]

[There's no real way for Ri to slaughter zombie dogs quietly, but he's trying to be efficient about it so he can get to Kairi faster. That means lots of Soul Eater to the head... and yes, he'll do the equivalent of the double-tap, just to be sure.]

[Smart thinking, Ri! You never know when it comes to zombies, even zombie dogs. Kairi still hasn't budged.]

[And since Ri believes that overkill is just enough kill, once the zombie dogs are down, he'll set them on fire. The smell is terrible, but it's better than leaving the corpses out for tiny princesses to see.]

... Kairi?

[There's some shuffling followed by Kairi pushing the door open again, trying to focus her eyes only on Ri. She is just on the edge of flat out bawling, she's so upset.]

[Once it's safe, Ri will hurry over to Kairi, Soul Eater and his armor disappearing to get rid of the blood and gore so that he can heft Kairi into his arms without mucking her up.]

Sssshhh... shhh... it's okay now, little princess.

[Now that she's safe it means she can burst into real tears, throwing her arms around Ri in a death grip and bawling.]

[Ri was totally expecting something like this and will rub Kairi's back gently, keeping her pressed close against his chest and making sure her face is against his shoulder so she doesn't see what's left of the zombie dogs.]

Ssshhh... I'm here. It's okay now.

[She shakes her head, still crying loudly, rolling her face against him and getting tears all over the place.]

They were de-deeeead!

[And now he goes to hair petting. He can sacrifice a shirt if it means Kairi sees less of the mess and if it comforts her.]

I know, princess. They're zombies and they're very dangerous. But I'll protect you, okay? I'll take you some place safe.
