[ Here's a Riku, about sixteen-seventeen years old, wearing casual clothes with a shockingly short haircut. Overall, doesn't stick out enough to approach. But she's asleep, dangling mid-air, slightly reclined, the Way to Dawn hanging from her grip. If anyone does approach her, they might get a surprise.]

[ooc: and then I canon updated. Riku's been missing from the DR since July 25th. There will probably be spoilers for KH3D as I'm pulling her post-game. (That's why she looks a little younger than she should - it won't last.)]

[That's a yes. But it is a pretty long story, if he wants all the details.]

Of course.

[He heads for the door after finishing up, hands tucking into his pockets automatically.]

[Then she follows, hands at her sides, and will presumably wait for him to lock the door once they're outside.]

What about you? Did anything interesting happen while I was gone?

[He does lock the door, then looks to her curiously. Where to?]

Not really, no. I kept to myself, not that that's much different than normal anyway. Made sure to stick around for Nami during the full moon, but he spent most of the night off hiding and calling for you.

[She looks a little upset by that thought, but manages to keep it down. As for where to, she was assuming they'd go to his couch or something, but if he wants to wander that's fine too.]

Thank you. I'll have to find him later.

[No, his couch works just fine, though he goes to the fridge and grabs a bottle of chocolate milk and a bottle of mango juice. Guess which one he tosses her way?]

He'll be happy you're back, I bet.

[The milk? No, she catches the mango juice and smiles, moving automatically to sit down.]

That'll be nice to hear. I missed him.

[She pauses, then looks back to Red.]

I missed you, too.

You'd better have.

[He doesn't say that he missed her, too, yet. It seems sappy.]

[Screw you, she'll be as sappy as she wants.]

I did. I had some company, though.

Did you now.

[He looks interested. What sort of company?]

[She smirks and looks to the space of open air beside her, and out of nowhere pops a very brightly colored bat, wings a light golden orange.]

[Red stares at the bat, eyebrows going up.]

What the hell is that?

[It stays in the air, wings flapping, and looks unnervingly cheerful.]

This is a Dream Eater, a type of being that normally lives in Sleeping Worlds. They take animal forms.

[She reaches up to scritch behind his closer ear, and he coos in a very high-pitched sort of way.]

This guy was the first friend I made.

The first friend you made was a bat.

[Oh, Red seems incredibly amused by that.]

Did I rub off on you?

[It's not like she likes you or anything.]

Maybe a little. Go on, say hi.

[She gives the bat a push toward him.]

[He just stares at the bat before reaching a hand out, not moving close enough to touch it just in case the bat decides it doesn't want to bother with this shit.]

[It cuddles up to his hand, friendly as can be!]

He won't bite.

Interesting.

[In that case, he pets it a little, looking it over.]

[She watches, a little amused, and then leans back against the couch.]

When I went back, Sora and I left the islands to take an exam for the Mark of Mastery. To become Keyblade Masters.

Did you pass?

[The way he says that, it's like he expects nothing less than an 'of course'.]

[She smirks.]

I guess we're skipping right to the end.

[She holds her hand out and summons her signature Keyblade, closing her eyes.]

I passed. But not without a long journey between.

Of course not.

[He smirks, but it softens a little after a moment, as does his voice.]

So, let's hear about this journey of yours.

[The Keyblade disappears and she looks at him, then kicks her shoes off and pulls her feet up on the couch to make herself comfortable.]

I didn't expect to pass, you know. It was a surprise to me. But it started off with Sora and I being assigned to enter the Realm of Sleep and unlock the Keyholes to return those worlds. Those worlds were flooded with these guys. Good and bad.

[She gestures to the bat, who is slowly migrating around Red's living room at this point.]

Except we had to do it separately.

Makes sense.

[Why would you do an exam with someone else present? It wouldn't display true potential. Or something.]

Mm. That part was fine. But it didn't go like it was supposed to. On my first world Ansem showed up.

[She'll give Red a moment to register that.]
