[In a cozy lounge, a warm log fire crackling, there's an old Nobody sitting in an old overstuffed armchair. Felicius here is chilling out.

Out in front of him, apparently projected from the device he's wearing on one arm, a little holographic show - 3-D video of him and various people - a lively freckle-faced boy of about ten, a punky blue-haired young woman, various others. Casually, every so often, he'll flick and poke at the images in the same way someone from a past era might at a smartphone touchscreen, navigating through scenes and zooming in and out.

Not often he indulges in nostalgia, really. Not often he spends time on what might be happening at home - if such things have any realistic meaning any more.
But sometimes these things just want to be done.]

((Tryin' to get a few characters who aren't named Xehanort back up and running out of my gang... so, sorry, guys, but that includes grumpy ol' OCs. :p))

Because you say so, I'll try not to worry about it anymore. After all, things will work out properly, right?

I - can't be certain of anything here. But I can't see any reason why they wouldn't.

[It's true as far as it goes - more that trying to read the DR's chaotic possible futures gives him a headache than any true optimism, but he's not one to burst Kira's happy bubble, after all.]

We all just have to trust that we're doing right. And I'm sure you are.

I wouldn't want to do anything wrong. I mean, what if I don't get born or something? Or grow up to be all emo and cranky?

Kira, I'm fairly sure that it would be impossible for any version of you to turn out - ah. Cranky. [Chuckle.] At least without a considerably bigger divergence than your being here provides.

I've never seen anything that'd suggest otherwise.

[Well, maybe he's exaggerating a little.]

[Kira looks really happy with your response, she might possibly go for a hug]

[Kira will whip out her phone to show it off; yes, it's pink... and covered with crystals and cute stickers]

[Why is he not surprised? Okay, he chuckles.]

Well, some things don't change. There's plenty of young people back home who'd do just that with their own. Hm, I believe the current trend was to set the case to change with the owner's mood automatically, but - don't hold me to that. I can't say I ever followed fashion much even when I was a boy.

That's okay. I think you're just fine the way you are.

[Kira will be trying to get a closer look at that technology! does it do anything else?]

[And that earns another chuckle.]

Do you want more of a demonstration?

Oh yes! What else does it do?

[Kira will sit nearby so she can see everything properly]

Let me see - [He'll just unhook the main unit to show it off better. As he talks through everything, he'll flip through all the different windows and apps on there.]
Holographic or onscreen display, though other people prefer different display types. Simple communication functions - individual, group, text, voice, visual. I think that's no different to what most people here have, though - hm. Media storage, utility programs, entertainment applications, personal equipment storage - ah, I don't think that your phones would do that? Storage of physical objects. Otherwise - well, it's just another time's solution to the same question as your own.

[Kira is quite dazzled by all of this]

We can't store equipment like that, not in phones. Is it... is it like how people summon keyblades? Or their weapons?

[He nods.] In principle, yes. It's just a technological solution as compared to a magical one - a lot more open to anyone to use for any purpose.

That's pretty cool. I wonder if I could use something like that to carry all my stuff, instead of using a bag.

[all the cosmetics she needs!]

[Can one device really hold such things? Another nod.]
That's pretty much what they're used for, yes. There's some things that don't code well, but otherwise, it's just convenient storage. It's a little unfortunate that I can't locate where any more might be found here, really.

Aw man. Still, I guess it must be weird for you being here. I mean, it's like we're cavemen or something.

I wouldn't say it's quite like that. After all, if I'd shown a caveman my coder, I doubt he'd have had that reaction... But I do miss the life I had.

[then she looks a bit worried]

[Face full of concern, he shakes his head-]

No, of course not! While I'd be lying if I said it wasn't tricky to adapt to - well, I've adapted to far worse in my life than finding myself in an otherwise pleasant place that just happens to miss a few things. Even if there are some luxuries that I wish I had, resources that I wish I had... it's nothing I'd hate.

I see. It's just, I know some people don't like it here. And I guess I can understand why, since they have families and stuff they left behind. But... I don't really know anything else besides the DR. I've never been to another world like everyone else.

I can understand it myself. There's a lot that I wish I could do that I don't know when I'll get the chance to - after all, well. You've already seen some of what I've left behind.

[You know, plans and schemes, all that good stuff.]

Still, on what else you say - there's a lot of people even in my own era who never leave their worlds. I don't think Pierre'd even have considered it if I never met him. [Silly boy. He laughs briefly, warmly.] Everyone's used to what they're used to. It's your home. That's what matters.

Still... I think it would be amazing to have an adventure, like my parents did. By the time Mama was my age, he'd already saved the worlds two or three times.
