[There's a few folks of the Xehanort persuasion out and about today, it seems...

The youngest? blankedpoint can be found raiding a kitchen. Got to say, he likes this much of things since they changed. Not like he has any clue that most places don't.

A teenaged one, then. another_chance has found himself an arcade room, and is very happily taking a blast at some seriously retro games.

The adult? forza_del_bene has found the laboratories, and he could hardly be happier. He's hard at work setting up various bits of kit.

A female one - exmariascientia is in the simulation room. Taking a very logical and precise study of the effects of whacking a rather too bulky looking keyblade at things.

In other news.

An Aqua has finally come out of seclusion. tideturned reacted in a most-un-Master-like fashion to the DR closing in again, but she's improving. She's hanging out in a comfy lounge, listening to music and sipping on some kind of relaxing herbal tea. Just taking it easy.

As far as Keyblade Masters go, there's another who's stirring; lightofoblivion is in the library. Felicius is catching up on a few history books, though he can't help but find himself cursing the lack of anything much between his own era and that of most of the residents...

Last of all, a pair of Heartless. kingdom_seed is in a garden; Layla's well wrapped up against any chill in the air, sitting on a bench and happily writing away.

As for her father? As for agrabah_weapon?
... Maybe it's a good job she can't see Kurt at the moment. This is a Heartless on the prowl. Maybe not conspicuously so, but better stay clear of those back corridors if your heart's interesting enough...]

[He'll just be trying to figure out the controls to the game he's standing at.]

[Well, crap. He's going to be a bit mind-blown for a moment. Don't mind him turning the earlier stare right back... that description's helped out with the 'which person called Ansem' question quite nicely.]

...He raised you?

Yeah. He took me in when I was little and my parents abandoned me. He says he found wandering in the darkness. It's been just us ever since.

[Well, except for Kairi for a bit.]

[A little suspicious, but he can't immediately see any flaws in the description...]

Huh. I guess I just never saw him as the sort.

[Not an Ansem, anyway. But given his own difference in background... he's willing to give the benefit of the doubt.]

[...Seriously. He takes a deep breath, a deep sigh, trying to restrain himself.]

Do you know what they do? The destruction they cause?

If you don't see the harm in it, I'm hardly going to be able to tell you what it is. [He looks down, shakes his head.]

...Why is it a bad thing? Humans aren't exactly pristine.

[Spoken like someone who's seen a lot of the negatives.]

[He swallows. Trying to stay calm - and trying to keep the bot of him that sees the point under control.]

So what do you want to do, then? What's your hope for the future?

That everything will return to the darkness. And then, there will be no more pain, no more suffering... Nothing.

[Pull yourself together! he tells himself, and gives a bit of a laugh, half-bitter.]

[He'll smile a bit, even if the laughter is even slightly bitter.]

[A faint smile, if a little grim.] He wanted a world for the darkness, for the Heartless. Didn't care what else it took. Didn't imagine I'd ever meet another one who felt the same kind of way.

[And it seems he's actually getting the hang of his own game.]

Well, he could end up here for all I know.

[He laughs, sighs, shakes his head. Sounding more casual than he's feeling about it, though there's a slight catch in his throat as he speaks-]

Think you'd get on with my - your - um. You could probably call him your grandfather, too.

[Nice, easy, casual conversation still. It'll be as much use telling him he's wrong as if he was talking to a Vanitas. Might as well just see where this rabbit hole goes.]
