[dated to Sunday morning! because most of this stuff wouldn't be happening at night. it's an overcast morning, and chilly enough that there could be snow if those clouds get any heavier!

prince_number_7 is heading home with a small bag, having gone out to grab a few things quickly. the bag contains a few things from what looks like a hair salon.

shellsandlight is seated in the park, looking a bit underdressed considering the temperature. he doesn't seem very bothered by the cold (living at the bottom of an ocean means having to deal with it, after all), and is currently enjoying a variety of candies that are likely to make him end up sick, more from the rate at which he is consuming them than for their contents.

fadedsketch is having a bit of difficulty pushing a fair-sized "portable" generator down the street. he's heading for his naga friend's den, wanting to give him something to power the electric heaters he's going to be bringing by as well at a slightly later date. he's already brought no doubt dozens of blankets by now.

paopuspirit is stringing tinsel garlands around the old paopu tree near the beach. it's already had some lights strung around it, all the way up to the leaves. how he managed to get it up so neatly is a mystery however.

cheeryskies has just entered the library, a bag slung over her shoulder. she seems set for a day indoors, just reading!

beforeitburned has found his way to an outdoor ice rink that he's never noticed before. there are cubbies full of skates of every size near it, and he's given into a sudden, overwhelming urge to try skating.

[Hello Kai. There's a Namine watching you curiously. She has obsolutely no idea what those things in the bag are.

She also seems to be clueless about proper winter weather. She's just wearing a normal Namine dress, apparently not too bothered by the cold. She's felt colder. This is nothing.]

She looks like she has questions of her own, but doesnt, or cant, ask them.]

[he smiles in a friendly manner, curious but not gawking at her or anything.]

[Well mostly. But she can certainly handle this cold.

She tilts her head a little with a little smile of her own. She is curious, and she looks it, but still doesn't say a word.]

[he's assuming that's what the silence is all about. that or she's just pulling the mysterious Naminé thing.]

Shakes her head, a little relieved that he was able to figure it out withotu her having to find a way to explain.]

Can you write? It might be handy to find yourself a pad of paper and a pen or something to communicate, if you can.

[Shakes her head again. Sadly, where this one used to live was not the most ideal enviroment for paper. She never learnt to read or write.]

[She'll gesture for him to turn around when they reach it though. Not that she really minds if people see, but some people have gotten freaked out by it. So she'd prefer to avoid that.]

[He might hear the sound of her clothes being dropped on the ground. Or at least the dress and underwear. For the sake of modesty she keeps the bikini top on.

Then, she dives right into the probably freezing water.]

[that makes him turn in surprise, though considering their positioning and the fact that she stripped, he shouldn't be surprised at all.]

[She swims back up to the surface, just showing her head and shoulders and smiles at him.]

I can only talk in the water. Whenever I take human form I lose my voice. That's the price to pay for legs, I guess.

I was born in the ocean. The cold doesn't really bother me.

That makes sense. It's just too bad there's no way for you to keep your voice while on land.

I don't really mind so much. I don't know many people to talk to.

..I, hadn't really thought of that.

[She's used to being thought of as weird, and being treated as such. So she hasn't ever considered the possibility that anyone would want to talk to her.]

If nothing else, you could find a cart to bring along with you full of water.

[that seems awfully inconvenient though.]

I'd suggest looking through the library for anything helpful, but that'd be a bit hard for you...

[Makes a bit of a face. She's strong, but she doubts she can drag around a cart of water everywhere she goes.]

I should probably learn how to write. That would probably be easiest.
