[Why, exactly, is there a sandstorm brewing down this alleyway? ...Must be Tuesday. In any case, two figures well-covered in desert robes and wrappings are making their way slowly out of it, fighting against the wind, the smaller one held closely to the larger's side.

As from their perspective the barrage lets up, dumping a puddle of sand around the street, the larger one looks up and drops his hood. Piercing inhuman yellow eyes, harsh narrow features-
Oh. Hello, Kurt.

He looks down towards his smaller companion - his daughter, in fact, though she seems to have grown at least a little bit since she was last seen - and smiles...]

... well. Looks like we're back.

((Been a while, so trying to kick some life into these two with a bit of an update.))

[While Layla gives a rapid nod of 'no kidding!' Kurt speaks up.]

It was rather the shock for both of us, I'll admit. I wouldn't go so far as to say [with a little quirk of his lips] 'gross', but I missed the luxuries we have here.

Well now you're back! So you have all of them. Um, you might get stuck in an early Halloween costume though.

That's a costume? I thought you'd just changed your look!

[sigh.]

It's some kind of costume for... I dunno, a horror movie person, or something. Every so often I get attacked by monsters out of nowhere, and I can't use my sword, or even magic. All I have is a lead pipe and a gun.

But it's not as bad as it could be, I guess. There's plenty of safe areas, including my apartment, and they only really seem to show up around me, so I don't have to worry about them wandering around attacking other people.

[she shakes her head with a little smile.]

It's just good to know there're more people around I can count on. Not that I can't count on most of the people here to be nice and lend a hand, but I don't know everyone like I do my friends.

[Sora thinks on it for a moment, then shakes her head.]

Nothing big. There was a spell that lasted like a week, with a different type of fashion every day a while ago, and Halloween decorations are popping up now... but that's about it.

You can still go shopping or something! It wasn't really that great. It sounds fun, but it's not really that fun when you're stuck in a big heavy dress, or a corset that feels way too tight.
