'This guy' is a Riku-looking person who just arrived near the apartments. He doesn't look too strange--he's wearing a long zip-up t-shirt with a shorter sleeveless vest over it, baggy pants with a ridiculous amount of pockets, and sandals. The unusual part is the length of chain hanging from his neck, attached to a cloth-looking collar.

He's currently attempting to tie the chain in knots out of sheer panic. He's visibly worried, glancing around frantically, looking for the people he's really not supposed to be be away from.]

Riku, where the hell did you leave me this time? This isn't funny.

Not really, no. I mean, some people leave when they die, but a lot of 'em end up coming back here anyway.

Doesn't make much sense to come back if you can't leave whenever you want.

Well, it's not like you get to choose. If you die and this place wants you back for whatever reason, you'll be dragged back whether you like it or not.

The world itself decides who stays and who doesn't? If that's the case, I hope it keeps me here for a while.

Most people usually stay at least a couple weeks, and can stay as long as years, so you're in luck.

[He looks uncomfortable for a couple seconds, then shrugs. Better if he doesn't dwell on it.]

I guess in the meantime, you'll need to find somewhere to live. I know there's lots of free apartments in my building, or we can find you a house! And I can show you where the grocer is, and where you can get more clothing.

I'd prefer an apartment if it's just me living in it.

[She is! He likes friendly. And meeting her is totally going to throw off his perception of 'Sora'.]

...You should take that stuff home before you help me with anything. [Referring to the groceries. He's just properly noticed them.]

[oops! man, she'd forgotten about them! she grins sheepishly and nods.]

Yeah, I guess I should. And then we can pick out an apartment for you in the building!

Uh...by the way, what's your name? You look familiar to me, but I can't recall a name.

Oh, right! Sorry, my name's Sora.

[notacopy]

Sora. [He tests the name, mentally putting the name to the face. He's going to be so confused when he meets his first male Sora.]

...So where do you live?

Over there!

[she moves her groceries around a bit so she can point out a fairly small apartment building pretty close by.]

[He glances that direction.]

Okay. Want some help?

[If so, he'll take some of the groceries. If not, he'll start heading in the direction she indicated.]

[she doesn't have a whole lot, so he'll only be handed one bag, but she totally appreciates it and will start leading the way afterward!]

How long have you lived here? Or are you native to this world?

Um... a couple years now, I guess. And I don't think anyone is a native aside from the kids that get born here.
