[ It looks like Riku's packed to go on a trip, dragging what would be a small truckload of items in a wagon down the street. Paper bags, mostly, with a heavy backpack secured over one shoulder. It's a particularly warm summer evening, and she's wearing a pair of baggy shorts with an equally loose t-shirt. One that falls off of her shoulders to reveal the yellow straps of what's probably a bathing suit underneath. But swimming isn't in her plans.

Now, there aren't many places to travel to in that particular kind of attire, and her destination is fairly predictable. She's heading toward the docks, after all. That being said, she's probably willing to take along some company. ]

So am I. But... this stuff, I learned from my dad. Usually during the festivals or birthday parties.

[She shrugs. There will be lots of fish he can steal.]

You learned how to cook from your dad? My mom was the one that did most of the cooking.

[And the teaching how to cook.]

Dad built us a smokehouse, though.

I've met more than one person who told me our parents were the same, only swapped.

[How does that knowledge feel, Riku?]

[It feels vaguely like awkward.]

I figured I wasn't the first person to say something like that.

[He's momentarily distracted when one of the bags he's carrying starts slipping out of his arms and he has to adjust the rest of them to prevent it from happening.]

Nah, not quite. Do you need me to take some of those?

[She's having no trouble whatsoever-]

No, I'm fine.

[Just not paying attention. See, he's got it now.]

[Smug girl. Almost sounds like a Riku. Oh wait.]

Of course I'm sure. Where are we going with this stuff?

[They'll get there eventually, and that's what matters.]

[He's just going to stop trying to hold a conversation with her eventually because it's like talking to his subconscious or something.]

Ah...and I thought I'd get to see your cooking skills. I'm disappointed.

I could give you an invitation when I'm ready to put all this to use. I still have to find meat first.

[Where the hell is she going to find a whole huge pig?]

[Forest? Pride Lands? One of the fridges in the apartment building's kitchens?]

Sure, that works just as well. What kind of meat are you looking for?

[But could she handle hunting the animal? No, the kitchen might be a better choice.]

A pig. Fish, too, but those I know how to catch.

[And then Riku was an Amazon.]

Good luck with that one.

[He has no clue where one would find a pig in the DR. Not at the moment, anyway.]

Yeah, I don't think it's going to be that easy. Unless I find another fully stocked meat freezer, and I lost the one I had found after the DR changed shape.

[She could probably easily hunt one as a werewolf! Not that any humans could eat it, when her saliva would contaminate it and spread the infection. :D]

[She could share it with the other werewolves? And Red.]

There's probably another one around here somewhere. Or the same one, just in a different place waiting for you to find it again.

Probably. I've been going through the rooms in the apartment building. It's a lot like the old DR.

I've noticed. Somewhat. I've only really gone into the apartment building to raid the kitchens.

Be careful in the elevators.

[First the food, then the residents, and now the buildings themselves. What next~~, the whole world~~? ~~Ohwait...~~]

...What's up with the elevators that I need to watch out for?

Tentacles, zombies, lasers. Anything if you hit the wrong button.

So far, I haven't encountered any of those things. Thanks for the warning, though.
