[ We all know how that Riku has taken to the change, but what about some others?

There are other people, like, say, a healerclass who has taken to the second story window a nice little home to peer around with a pair of large hot pink binoculars. She's watching this knighttildawn patrol the bridge in armor. On the other side of the neighborhood, an dawningcoast has dropped her bags of groceries she was taking home to haul ass after her son. Baby Aden has decided that clothes are unnecessary. As for the older hallowedshore? He's not actually sure he likes this change. He's sticking to the apartments for now, sitting on the roof with his legs hanging dangerously over the edge.

Down below, a hidesandseeks is going around trying to figure out where all of her friends and family now live, and royaltentacles is slinking through alleyways only once night has fallen. No one probably cares where thundery is, and that's just fine with him. He's laid claim to a pretty little castle. ]

[and with no warning, whatsoever, he gets up, backs up a few feet, and hurls himself off the top of the building, limbs flailing.]

[Aden's up on his feet instantly, the toes of his boots over the edge. Otherwise, he doesn't react. Even if there was something he could do (which there isn't), he wouldn't. It sounds like Rikka has something planned. Aden just hopes that's true.]

[of course he does. there's gotta be cooler ways to kill oneself than by jumping off an apartment building. he forms a portal right as his skull comes within three feet of the pavement, and without warning, a portal forms in a puff of black fog above your head a few feet behind, and he comes crashing out of it, laughing.]

[He's pretty unpredictable to Aden nowadays. After all, that was cutting it very close just now. But he's smirking the minute he feels that portal form behind him. He's slow to turn around, that wide, lazy smirk firmly in place.]

Well, that was cooler than Russian roulette.

[seems he's pretty unpredictable to most people nowadays, even to himself. couple years ago, and he would have found that entirely insane.]

And a lot safer. I can pretty much do it automatically, now. I do it to Kira all the time when she runs away from me. It was fun to form portals as people walked into them and make them end up in totally random places in the hallways.

[Sometimes Aden wonders if he's not insane. But then, he wonders that about a lot of people, himself included.]

I'm sure that gets plenty of screaming. Anyway, I'm impressed. Not to mention glad you're still alive. Think you could catch me?

[being raped and starved for eight days by Marluxia and staying awake for days on end to watch his sister and family and protect them from the shadows from the same fate will do that to a person. we're all mad here. when you ask, his smile is a little more familiar and soft.]

[Whatever insanity he may have, Aden couldn't blame him. In any case, that takes the smirk off his face, and replaces it with a cocky grin.]

[Then he'll step backwards of the roof.]

[he smiles as you tumble off the building, and doesn't even need his eyes to sense you. his hand goes out, and you might feel the comforting prickle of Darkness about halfway down, before you fall into the cold envelope of a portal, coming through the other end at a pretty high velocity. you'll be crashing on the softness that is his bed in his studio. he'll jump in with you, buddy.]

[Aden will be more or less frozen in place when Rikka gets there, but not because he was afraid. Fear never even crossed his mind. It almost never does. But that was a rush like he hasn't experienced before. He's grinning like a maniac, and if that portal had taken him back to the roof, he would have wanted to do it again.]

[the roof is only a short portal away, friend. but he didn't want you to land too hard on your shoulder and break something going as fast as you were. he's had practice and knows where to land. he comes crashing onto the floor, grinning from ear to ear.]

... so. Wanna practice jumping off shit? I'm sure landing in the ocean will be incredible.

[He might have enjoyed that! But that grin doesn't leave his face even as he speaks.]

[gets up off the floor, and the second his feet hit the floor, a portal forms under him and he falls, pulling you with him. he thinks very clearly of the ocean water, the sound, the smell, and after you both pass through the Darkness of the portal, you'll find that it lets out just under the clouds, and you're both falling freely through the air, a feeling akin to nothing else, and for a few moments, Rikka feels completely at peace. he has his best friend's trust, the warm breeze and no fear. the moment you both hit the waves will be a shock to the system, though.]

[This is something Aden could very easily become addicted to, free falling like this. Even passing through the darkness is comfortable to him, but falling through the air like this? It's hard to think of anything that really compares. It's probably no surprise that he's laughing mid-way to the ocean, only cut off by the impact. Good thing he can swim so well.]

[it's pretty addictive, but it's even better with friends. he only lets go of your hand when you hit the water, and he doesn't even sink very deep, able to swim up the surface pretty quickly, his silver locks plastered to his forehead.]

[Aden doesn't try to go up too fast, enjoying the feeling of being surrounded by water. But he's breaking through the surface himself before anyone would have a chance to worry, taking a big gulp of air.]

[he's not worried at all, and just enjoys the sounds of the water and the feel of the waves, making sure to let his body just drift with them as he relaxes and breathes.]

Guess my first acquisition will need to be towels.

[his clothes are heavy with the salt water, and he's already looking forward to getting them off. his naked baby stage never really ended.]

[Try having your coat loaded down with god knows what. Man, how he envies his father's weightless pockets sometimes. Aden uses the water to slick his own hair back, because he really hates it being in his face, then looks around to see how far out they are.]
