[ We all know how that Riku has taken to the change, but what about some others?

There are other people, like, say, a

healerclass who has taken to the second story window a nice little home to peer around with a pair of large hot pink binoculars. She's watching this

knighttildawn patrol the bridge in armor. On the other side of the neighborhood, an

dawningcoast has dropped her bags of groceries she was taking home to haul ass after her son. Baby Aden has decided that clothes are unnecessary. As for the older

hallowedshore? He's not actually sure he likes this change. He's sticking to the apartments for now, sitting on the roof with his legs hanging dangerously over the edge.

Down below, a

hidesandseeks is going around trying to figure out where all of her friends and family now live, and

royaltentacles is slinking through alleyways only once night has fallen. No one probably cares where

thundery is, and that's just fine with him. He's laid claim to a pretty little castle. ]

[He might have enjoyed that! But that grin doesn't leave his face even as he speaks.]

Absolutely. Are you kidding?

Of course I'm not. But I've never done it before.

[reaches his hand out.]

Trust me?

[He doesn't hesitate to take it.]

[gets up off the floor, and the second his feet hit the floor, a portal forms under him and he falls, pulling you with him. he thinks very clearly of the ocean water, the sound, the smell, and after you both pass through the Darkness of the portal, you'll find that it lets out just under the clouds, and you're both falling freely through the air, a feeling akin to nothing else, and for a few moments, Rikka feels completely at peace. he has his best friend's trust, the warm breeze and no fear. the moment you both hit the waves will be a shock to the system, though.]

[This is something Aden could very easily become addicted to, free falling like this. Even passing through the darkness is comfortable to him, but falling through the air like this? It's hard to think of anything that really compares. It's probably no surprise that he's laughing mid-way to the ocean, only cut off by the impact. Good thing he can swim so well.]

[it's pretty addictive, but it's even better with friends. he only lets go of your hand when you hit the water, and he doesn't even sink very deep, able to swim up the surface pretty quickly, his silver locks plastered to his forehead.]

[Aden doesn't try to go up too fast, enjoying the feeling of being surrounded by water. But he's breaking through the surface himself before anyone would have a chance to worry, taking a big gulp of air.]

[he's not worried at all, and just enjoys the sounds of the water and the feel of the waves, making sure to let his body just drift with them as he relaxes and breathes.]

Guess my first acquisition will need to be towels.

[his clothes are heavy with the salt water, and he's already looking forward to getting them off. his naked baby stage never really ended.]

Sounds good.

[Try having your coat loaded down with god knows what. Man, how he envies his father's weightless pockets sometimes. Aden uses the water to slick his own hair back, because he really hates it being in his face, then looks around to see how far out they are.]

[hopefully nothing's drowned in there. he's going to swim towards the beach, because his energy's a little depleted and he can feel all of that Darkness from making the portals weighing heavily on the Light side of his heart. he needs a little rest before he can get them back.]

Where did your mom end up? My parents are in the apartment towards the lower level, but Mama really wants a house of their own.

[There may be a critter or two swimming up to the surface. Aden will just let them go, though one long and spiny thing may be climbing into his hair. Either way, he's following Rikka, in no particular rush to get back.]

Huh. I saw my mom walking around earlier with baby me. I think her and dad have their own house now.

[part of him would like to live in the house with his parents. but there's already a Rikka there, and he feels like a burden. he's giving a critical look to those creatures swimming up and hoping none of them are flesh-eating. it's not a terribly long swim to the shore, and as soon as they get there, Rikka's stripping his clothes to the waist to get rid of the weight.]

At least it's warm now.

[None of them are flesh-eating! Aden just kind of flops onto the ground once they reach land, wiggling his arms enough to shed his coat, but nothing else. Not yet, anyway. He flashes Rikka a grin, the spiny thing on the side of his face now.]

Good point.

[he seems pretty interested in this insect, reaching out to poke it gently.]

I like this one. It looks like a leaf. Can I pick it up?

Sure. Just be careful, they're pretty delicate.

[Bland taste, too, but he'll keep that to himself. He doesn't move his face, but he turns his eyes to look at the insect.]

Put your hand over her. She'll climb up.

[look how gentle he's being with your creepy crawler! he puts his hand over and lets her crawl on. he'll then draw his hand closer, very slowly, and watches her intently.]

[As soon as she's off of him, Aden's sitting up, running his hands through his air to slick it back. The insect looks more or less content on his hand, and will climb up on top if he gives her any sort of nudge. Aden's watching, just out of interest. Leaf insects aren't really dangerous at all.]

[he's very gentle with it nevertheless, and he does totally nudge her so that she walks along his skin, smiling at the slight tickle.]

Named her yet?

[He smirks and watches her. She's such a relaxed little spiny leaf insect.]

No name yet. Care to do the honors?

Sure. How about...

[he's very gentle with her, but pokes her around a bit.]

'Bernadette'.

[She'll walk away from wherever she's prodded, but Aden's grinning.]

Sounds perfect.

[grins back.]

She'll be the only insect with a song named after her.

I wonder how she feels about that.
