[there's a nice little den-type room near the main area that's currently occupied by one (1) Kai and several books. there's a small pile on the right side of his chair and a smaller pile on the left; the ones on the left have paper scraps sticking out of them in quite a few places, acting as bookmarks. Kai is, oddly, upside-down in his chair, his legs thrown up and over the back and his head hanging off the seat cushion. he's reading, concentrating quite a bit on the book in his hands (also upside-down, naturally). there's a large, half rolled up piece of paper next to the books on the left of his chair. a pencil and eraser are keeping it from rolling up completely. on the paper? a drawing of a heart in a circle, which is inside another circle. between the outer circle and inner circle are a few quick, scribbled Heartless with question marks around them.

what is he doing? who the hell knows!]

[there is a rather sleepy-looking Sora headed your way in his pajamas, despite it not being morning. he stops when he sees Kai, his head tilting to the side when he realizes there's feet in the air.]

[feet in purple and blue stripy socks! Kai's concentrating too much to notice someone else there just yet.]

[those feet are actually all he sees at this angle. he steps closer, and after a moment of staring, Kai will feel a finger running across the bottom of one foot.]

[which makes him spaz and drop his book and pull his feet down.]

[there's a very Sora-sounding chuckle before his head pops up over the back of the chair to look down at Kai. now he's sleepy and amused.]

Sorry, but it was too tempting not to.

[he's looking a little more awake, now that he sees he interrupted something.]

[nngh, schoolwork. that's one thing he doesn't miss while being stuck here. there is a very big yawn triggered by just the thought of homework, exposing a pair of very sharp fangs that slipped out without his notice.]

Maybe. But I've been away from school for almost three years now... I need to keep my mind busy somehow.

Well, here, it'll have been three years in... July. But I was stuck somewhere else for a couple months before this place.

*Sora's peeking his head in the door, blinking -- he kindasortamaybe wants to come in, but he sees that you're really busy and actually hesitates; you probably can hardly sense him since his Light is very, very low*

[but he can sense it, and the fact that it's low has him worried and immediately putting the book down and trying to turn upright without falling out of the chair.]

[he looks concerned by that, getting out of the chair to move toward Sora.]

[of course he knows; he can feel it. and he pulls Sora into a hug (as long as he doesn't fight it).]

[he really isn't explaining it right and just brings out more Light to give Sora a hug with that, too.]

I'm alright. And I'm sorry you're lonely. We need to spend more time together. Maybe a sleepover is in order.
