Well, since we had to look for them the last three times we made pancakes..

[ trails off-- do you want to start them or me? ]

See, I expected it to take us longer than three times to figure it out. You must've been the one to put them away last time.

[He's just going to be digging out pans and things now.]

I got a little tired of having to find them every time.. but more than likely I'll forget to keep up this habit and it'll be inevitable that we have to look for the stuff..

[ sighs. ]

How many are we going to make?

Um. Let's see. There's five of us... think two or three each would be enough?

Three, the kids tend to be pretty hungry when they wake up. So.. fifteen pancakes?

[ o boy. this'll be fun. ]

Yeeeah. This could take a while. [Checks] At least we've got enough stuff. I know by now how fast these guys go through milk.

Oh good, I was worried we wouldn't have enough stuff. Well, we might as well get started.

[ turns the stove on-- ]

[Finding a big stovetop griddle so they can actually do more than one pancake at once and speed things up a little. And sets it on the stove to heat up.]

[ waits for that to get right before starting on other things. ]

So what have you been doing besides not getting any sleep?

Not much. Mostly playing music. Uh. Quietly.

Oh? I missed you playing.

[ SADFACE. only not that much but still sad. ]

[reaching out to ruffle her hair gently] We can fix that later, if you want.

Should probably get food together first, though, or the kids'll riot.

[ sighs rather happily and goes to start making those. ]
