[In a main room, sitting on a table against the wall, is a Demyx. This Demyx is dressed entirely in baggy street clothes, but that doesn't seem to mean he's too different from others of his physical appearance. At least, not in the musical sense. The guy's got two guitar cases next to him, and another under the table, plus a smaller one sitting on the table in front of him. There's a ukulele in his hands, and he's happily playing and singing away, to a happy and calm tune that, coupled with his cheerful demeanor, would make one immediately assume that he is in good spirits.]

[Upon second glance, however, they may notice the sarcasm in the scene he's created. Propped up against the ukulele's case is a cardboard sign. You see, this is not this Demyx's first time being here, but he's not about to complain. After all, there isn't much point, if you think about it. So instead, he has decided to play away, happy as can be behind his little cardboard sign, the words "FUCK IT" scrawled across in bold, black marker.]

If you want optimism, go talk to the guys with the brown hair that sticks out in every direction.

Right; they're generally friendly. I'll keep that in mind, make sure I make some friends. Being human'll probably suck here soon.

There are plenty of humans. A lot of them just have magic of some sort.

Yeah, exactly, I don't have that. Worst I'm capable of is punching you in the teeth.

Yeah, you probably don't want to try that unless you absolutely have to fight.

Trust me, I'd rather just talk it out every time.

Have you ever had to fight?

[He almost visibly starts at that, sort of disbelieving for a moment. And then he chuckles quietly.]

Yeah, I have.

Did you win?

Mmhm. Been a while since I've lost a fight.

[He seems to think on that for a moment.]

... Good, then!

[And then, suddenly, he starts playing a brighter, happier, more upbeat tune on the ukulele.]

[...Heh. Hopefully he doesn't mind Riku moving to lean against the wall.]

[Of course not~ He's just gonna be playing for now, eventually humming out an unfamiliar, yet catchy little tune.]

[He's not huge on music, but that doesn't mean he can't enjoy it.]

[He's always going to be big on music, man. This doesn't have any words, but it does have a tune. Which is nice, at least. And it lasts for a couple minutes.]

Guess that's one thing you guys have in common, with or without a heart.

[Don't worry, he left the comment until Demyx was finished.]

What are you talking about, man? Music is the heart.

[He shakes his head a little.]

The Demyxes from worlds like mine don't have a heart.

... All the more reason to play.

I guess. I've never been into music.

Shame. I don't get people who hate music. Indifferent? I can understand, to an extent. But hating music is just ridiculous.

Can't say I understand hating it either. Maybe certain kinds, if it really rubs them the wrong way or something.

Well, yeah, certain genres really just aren't for certain people. But hating all music! I met a guy who claimed to hate all music once. We very nearly got into a fist fight.
