[Here's a young man that might look familiar to some, wandering the halls with a pensive expression on his face. As he makes his way along ever so slowly he casts a wary glance to his left, and then to his right, repeating this process every so often.

Passing by an open door he peers into a room, starts, and glaps a gloved hand over his face (that's turning scarlet with record timing), hurrying away. He's not sure what those people were just doing and he...doesn't think he wants to know.

So it's back to shuffling along quietly. He rubs a hand over a scarlet brand on the back of his neck that just peeks out over his clothing, huffing out a quiet sigh]

What sort of place is this..?

Unversed are... hm. Special? They're created by the existence of one person in most worlds, and versions of that person have started showing up here more recently, so the Unversed come along. As far as I've been able to learn, they're made of... emotions, sort of? Negative ones. I'm not really sure.

That's one of the things about this place. It brings in multiple versions of some people. You'll see a lot of boys with spiky brown hair, and boys with long silver hair... girls with either red or blonde hair... basically, some people have a whole lot of doubles. Others don't. But people have different stories, even if they look the same.

I suppose I should know what I'm dealing with.

I can give you a tour, too, so you at least know where the main stuff is. Kitchens, library, a room you can take over, that kind of thing.

Oh, right, sorry. My name's Kai.

[Nods to himself; that should be easy enough to remember. And then he bows at the waist quite formally]

My name is Keir.

[he's really not used to formal stuff and laughs a little awkwardly.]

You don't have to, uh. add the "Mister" in. I'm fine with just Kai.

[After that bow, Keir stands as straight and tall as his unimpressive height allows. Posture, gotta mind it]

There must be a great many people here.

There are. Several hundred people, at least, though not all of them show their face every day.

[he stretches a bit, then rubs the back of his neck.]

So the kitchens always restock on their own. No one should go hungry here with how much food there is, and some people cook and leave the food in the fridge for people who aren't able to cook for themselves.
