[ This Vanitas sure doesn't seem to be doing much, does he? No Unversed appear in the halls, and he's just sort of... there. Standing in the middle of the hall, blankly staring at nothing in particular.

Were it not for his helmet, one might notice his rather blank eyes. At this rate, you could punch him, flick him in the helmet, or draw scribbles on his visor, and he really wouldn't care.

Certainly not the Creeper people love to hate, huh? ]

[ He fumbles over his words again. Sucks to have an erratic mindset. ]

If not for Xehanort... Ven's destiny would be to become a great Keyblade Master.

[ That's said so... so bitterly. She hates MX with all of her being. And that really means something when her being is dark. ]

Because of what he's done to Ven, to you, all that's there now is pain.

Yes, pain. Because as long as you're trying to create that blade, Ventus can't enjoy life. He can't be happy.

Of course he wouldn't understand, being a creature of negativity. ]

Happy is... a positive emotion. I'm... not sure if you can experience it.

[ She only can because of her past. Her heart still clings to positive emotions rather desperately; it unfortunately leads to things like love bordering on obsession at times, but she's pretty good at keeping that reigned in. ]

[ Oh, he knows what it is. Normally, anyway. He just... doesn't understand it. The closest he's ever been to 'happy' is at the misfortune of others. ]

No. Love and happiness make you strong. Some of the strongest people I know are also the ones who care the most for others.

Attachment... makes you weak.

[ Ha... ha ha. ]

Attachment gives you something to fight for. Why do you fight, Vanitas? What drives you?

He'd never thought about it and, frankly, in his current mindset, it's a bit overwhelming.

So overwhelming, in fact, that he sorta collapses. ]

[ Whoops. She doesn't move any closer, just watching him a bit blankly. ]

[ He sounds... pretty pained. Why can't he focus, and why is it so hard to come up with a retort to that?

His head's spinning faster and faster... ]

[ She's silent, her heart torn; on the one hand, this is a Vanitas and she for the most part utterly despises them (can you figure out why she has self esteem issues?), but on the other, he hasn't done anything yet as far as she knows. Of course, that's why she's doing nothing instead of either helping or hurting him. ]

[ Slowly, he tries to get up, though his sluggish motions make it clear that he's still in pain. ]
