[Off in one of the larger areas of the Dressing Room, there's a rather loud splash, followed by a sizable tidal wave - the sort you get when something big is forced to crash land in a body of water.

In this case, 'something large' would be about 80 feet of dragon.]

[The dragon cranes his neck to peer down at her. His eyes are an interesting shade of golden-yellow if she's paying that much attention.]

You like?

[Desiree nods emphatically and giggles.]

Yes! Um..can I pet you?

[figures asking is good, she's afraid he'd bite her hand off otherwise.]

As if I'm gonna say no.

[Permission: granted. Also, yes, he does sound like Xigbar, if you transposed his voice down a good several octaves.]

[Desi splashes a bit closer and reaches up to pet Xigbar's nose. No she wouldn't recognize his voice because she's kept to herself a lot after she was tortured and hasn't run into any Xigbars anyway. When she speaks, her voice is soft and full of awe.]

I've never seen a real dragon before...what's your name? I'm Desiree.

[He feels rather like one might expect a damp lizard to feel like, albeit a slight bit warmer than most.]

The name's Xigbar.

[It's like she's totally forgotten about the flood...untill a stray wave makes her almost lose her balance and get some water up her nose.]

Oh um...nice to meet you, Xigbar. Sorry for the mess, you got here right when this place decided to be a pain in the rear.

[She looks around for a door to someplace with enough high ground that they can get out of the water, she's probably going to end up with a hell of a cold once his is over....]

[He shrugs. Or... presumably shrugs. He certainly moves his wings in a shrug-like gesture anyway.]

Enh, I can deal. Might be tricky finding a place to sleep but...

[Really, the water's only up to about mid-way between his knee and his shoulder.]

They don't last very long anyway, either way, longest anything like this has lasted was about three days. \

[Not remembering that aphrodisiac cupcake incident with a friend of her, hellllll no XD]

I'd hope something like this wouldn't last.

Well yeah, that was my first thought too when I first got here and was stuck in one.

[Still in awe, but looking for someplace higher to get on so she doesn't end up sicker than she knows she will once this is over.]

What one did you get?

[Theoretically, there's Xigbar. He's even got a harness sort of thing on that looks like it'd be easy to hang on to, if she could get up to about shoulder-height on him.]

[Looking around a bit, she spots the harness and starts climbing, slipping once in a while but her sheer determination gets her up there while she's talking.]

Well back in June, I got five.

[Lets that sink in for a minute before she explains:]

I had aphrodisiac cupcakes that made the time I was hanging out with this boy I was friends with REALLY awkward, cat ears and a tail, an outfit with too many zippers, um...tea that gave me hiccups and then my friend and I got stuck under mistletoe that wouldn't let us out until we kissed.

Reeeeeally now.

[Sounds like it might be an interesting place after all.]

Uh huh. That was the last time I remember this place being a pain like this.

[hanging onto the harness for dear life now, and she is fully expecting to get a cold from this too lol]

So they're sort of infrequent things?

It usually happens once a month, but we were safe over the summer for some reason.

Maybe someone didn't feel like it?

Maybe.

[eeks as she gets splashed again.]

[He shrugs again.]

It's a good a suggestion as any, right?
