--yes, I know. You don't need to tell me again.

[there's a woman with green-tinted skin standing behind Riku, a slender hand coming to rest on his shoulder. his armor immediately springs up as his expression darkens, though whether it's because of the touch or something else is up for debate.

he steps away as a burst of green fire engulfs her, leaving him alone in the hall- or almost. there's a black crow swooping in to rest on his shoulder as he starts toward one of the common areas.]

[the portal behind Kira suddenly collapses as all of Riku's attention is redirected toward that knife, his eyes widening a bit. where the hell did that thing even come from? he stops struggling for the most part, both hands braced against Aden's chest and their legs tangled together.]

[oh thank goodness she doesn't have to worry about the Heartless, just the crow]

[From a convenient sheath under the back of his jacket. He likes hiding things until they're useful. And now that he's got Riku's attention...]

What'll it be, Riku? What can you stand to live without? I'm thinking your tongue would work.

[He swings the knife almost slowly over Riku's face, his own face low, eyes bright.]

Then maybe you wouldn't go around making sweet girls cry.

[the crow is actually turning tail and fleeing back to its master, but not before dropping a very bird-like gift over Kira's head with a derisive caw.

Riku's eyes dart from Aden's face to the knife, watching it warily.]

You wouldn't, not in front of her.

[Kira squeals at the 'gift' though she manages to dodge enough that it hits her shirt instead of her hair, but she pauses when she hears what the creepy Riku says]

... that's why I'm not turning around. I trust Aden to do what's... necessary.

See, unlike you, she's smart. She knows me. Now open up.

[He's going to trail the blade down Riku's mouth. Best be careful about those sudden movements.]

[like hell is he going to just open his mouth for Aden to get knife-happy on him. his mouth shuts tight and his eyes narrow, fingers twitching against Aden's chest half a second before he lets loose a blast of dark firaga.]

ADEN! Curaga!

[she was completely startled by that attack, and can't get a good hit on creepyku, but she can definitely support her bodyguard]

[Yeah, that hurt. It sends Aden off of him, his coat and shirt smoking and burned away. The skin underneath (quite visible what with the chunks of his shirt that have been obliterated) doesn't look very good, but Kira's spell took away most of the damage. However, while Aden was out to teach Riku a lesson for what he did to Kira, now he's angry, and throws the knife at him with force.]

[Riku throws up a barrier and rolls to the side, scrambling to his feet to put some distance between them and call up Soul Eater. his eyes dart from Aden to Kira, sizing up the odds and not liking the answer.]

Serves him right.

[you are so lucky that Kira is a backrow fighter, though she's excellent at support and has Auto-Locked on you, creepyku]

You deserve it! I told you already that you're a loser that doesn't know anything!

[He's up in no time, Riku, and doing a damn good job of ignoring the pain circulating in his chest. The blood from his mouth has since slowed, but it's all down his face and neck and staining his collar.]

No, Kira, he's just like any other Riku of his type. He's nothing special.

[Hey look, he's pulling something else out of the back of his coat. Looks like a syringe.]

[his eyes narrow when he spots that, not trusting Aden a bit. he doesn't move to attack yet, but he does back up more so that it'll be harder for either of them to get behind him.]

You won't be saying that when the Door opens.

You're right, Aden. He's nothing like Daddy or Papa or Auntie Piku. He knows nothing about this place at all.

[Light starts to gather around Kira and she hovers slightly above the ground, quite obviously ready to launch spells if necessary]

Exactly. We'll be saying it forever, because you're nothing we haven't seen a hundred times over.

[He gives the syringe a little warning push, some kind of clear, thick liquid squirting out in Riku's direction.]

[Riku takes a step back at that, because it certainly doesn't look like water. just being this close to Kira like that hurts, making him even more willing to put space between them.]

What is that, more tricks like the bugs up your sleeve?

[that makes her laugh a little]

That wasn't anything. And it's not tricks.

She's right. Care to test it?

[That's a nice big needle, isn't it?]

Why don't you use it on yourself first? Like I'm really going to let you jab me with that thing.

Is he going to pee himself yet, Aden? Because that's really gross.

Like you'd let me jab you even if I did.

[He rolls his wrist around to crack it, the needle swinging through the air dangerously close to his face.]

It's his move, Kira. What do you think?

[he isn't waiting for Kira's permission, he's going to start opening another portal- behind himself, this time. he doesn't like fighting against someone with unfamiliar weapons, especially when he doesn't know what's in them.]

I think--

[ack he's trying to get away!]

THUNDAGA!!

[--that's he's a coward? Aden grins widely and wickedly, quite an unpleasant expression overall. He's nowhere near Kira's level of experience with magic, and doesn't bother casting the few he's mastered. He races toward Riku instead.]

[he cries out when the Thundaga hits, his half-formed portal collapsing as he stumbles to his knees. he sees Aden coming for him though, and raises his hand, letting loose another blast of dark firaga.]
