a storm's a-ragin'
[Residents of the DR might be running into an unusual sight, a teenage girl whose face may or may not be buried in a carton of triple chocolate chunk ice cream; but the most unusual thing might be the dark miniature storm cloud floating above her head, that rumbles ominously with thunder and occasional flashes of lightning. This is what happens when a girl with tenuous control over her magic gets overly... hormonal.]

[Sora does like his naps! he sees right through Kira's protesting, though, and grabs that leftover ice cream and starts leading her back toward her room. she might be too far off in crampy-land to notice, but there's a huge scar that definitely wasn't there yesterday, running from his chin, down his throat and apparently continues down his chest obscured by his shirt.]

You got hurt! What happened?! Daddy and Mama are gonna be so worried! Did you tell them?!

What? Kira, do you have a mirror on you?

Is water wet? I always have a mirror, Buggie.
[she pulls a little cosmetic mirror out of her pocket]

Oh, this isn't anything. This is old. I got it when you were still just a baby, Kira.

I don't remember you being roast-y.

[give him a minute to figure out the best way to explain this.]

Well.. Okay, let's say for instance that.. today, younger-me found a big permanent marker and drew all over the walls. Now, for me, that technically happened a long time ago, right? But since I'm in the same time period as younger me, I remember the stuff he's doing at the same time that he's doing them. Even though I didn't remember drawing on the walls beforehand, when he actually does it, I'll be able to remember doing it.
Does that make sense? It's kind of the same deal with the scar.
