[Roxas is up early this morning, around maybe five-thirty or six. From a glance, he looks kind of run-down, like he hasn’t been feeling all that well-- a little green around the gills, as they say. Right now, he’s pouring some ginger ale for himself and searching for some saltines, but they appear to be hiding from him.]

[He rolls his eyes at that, hoarse voice laced with sarcasm.]

Oh stop it. This isn't about me, it's about you.

[Well fine, Riku glances at him at that.]

You sound pretty sure about that.

You're being stupid. Running aw-

[He breaks off for a moment to cough hard, then continues.]

-Running away from me like that. Would it kill you to just talk to me?

...no, but it sounds like it might kill you. Stop talking, idiot. What were you looking for?

[He sounds a little exasperated, and is willing to put aside his ~~sulking~~ brooding to help Roxas, since the guy's obviously sick.]

I'm fine.

[Says the obvious liar, going to go sit down now.]

I would have like a little more exposition than a big reveal like that, and then you walking away.

You didn't exactly give me a lot of choice on the big reveal.

What, were you just going to keep quiet forever and hope I never found out?

[That makes him look a little uncomfortable.]

Not knowing didn't exactly seem to be bothering you.

Tch. Ignorance is bliss, huh?

[He glares, but quickly preoccupies himself with downing the glass of ginger ale.]

[Riku opens his mouth to respond, then just shuts it again and moves to start gathering things. Whether you want it or not, Roxas, he's going to make you some soup.]

[He just glares at the back of Riku's head before slumping on the table. He's confused, irritated, and miserable right now- and damn it, he's going to relish it.]

[Idiot. It won't be long before it becomes obvious he's making some chicken noodle soup from... well, mostly scratch. It'll be good, and you'll enjoy it, dammit.]

[He can smell it already, and his stomach loudly growls in anticipation.]

[That totally doesn't make him smirk. Really. The soup will be pretty healthy, though still quite delicious; he's been trying to keep what he makes tasty and healthy at the same time, since he's looking after a little kid with a sweet tooth and all.]

[Good to know the kid has a caring nanny. Whenever you're done being chef boyardee over there, Roxas will be half asleep over at the table.]

[Will he wake up when a bowl of soup is set in front of him?

If not, Riku tapping on his skull with a spoon may do it.]

[The latter will do it, and he'll be batting him away with an annoyed noise.]

Eat.

[There's even seconds if he wants it. And he'll be handing Roxas a spoon. Not the one he hit him with, of course.]

[He hesitates at first, out of stubbornness. But eventually he'll start sipping at the soup.]

[Good. He's going to do cleanup.]

[What a good little maid. By the time that's done, the bowl in front of Roxas will be completely empty.]

[Don't jinx me, please. I'd rather not end up in a maid outfit.]

There's more if you're hungry.

M'good.

[And he's back to half-asleep mode now that his stomach is full.]

Hope you don't plan on sleeping there.

[Fine, he'll go pack the leftover soup away in the fridge.]

Of course not, stupid.

[He just... has yet to work up the will to get up.]
