[Riku is in the beach room, staring out at the water with a pensive expression. One hand is fisted in the bottom of his shirt; he's considering taking it off, but he's not sure he's ready to show off the scars he acquired while he was gone. It wasn't that he'd gotten them in a particularly bad way, he was just sort of ashamed that he got them in the first place. They're all from battle and nothing else, at least.]

[Sorry if he's being nosy, Roxas, but... well.]

[He sighs. He was certainly not expecting a Riku to care that much.]

[It's hard to keep the disappointment from his voice.]

She said some of them were just out of her reach. I guess this place is keeping some things to itself.

[He sighs heavier this time.]

I almost wish I hadn't remembered some things.

[Well, at least he can be sure Roxas didn't remember him, considering he's talking to him...]

That bad, huh.

It changed some things between me and a friend of mine... I think maybe it would have been better if we could have just left it in the past. Makes things awkward, you know?

But it wasn't left in the past. You just couldn't remember it. I think there's a difference there.

...Maybe. What's done is in the past though. It doesn't matter so much now... or at least it shouldn't.

Exactly. It shouldn't matter, so why is it bad that you remember again?

Because it makes things between us... strange.

[He'll just... stuff his hands in his pockets, closing his eyes.]

Unless you believe that you couldn't possibly put the awkwardness behind you and continue that friendship.

Mm. I'm not sure how strong the friendship was to begin with. I'd like to still be friends, but... I don't know about them.

[He considers for a moment, then figures there's no harm in telling. It's not like they're really a huge secret.]

Just fighting, back home. There's only so much potions and Cure magic can do when you have to be moving almost constantly.
