[there's a scream from down this hallway as some poor soul is consumed by the shadows -- not Heartless, simply moving shadows. as the last dying gurgle escapes the writhing mass, a figure rises out of it slowly, darkness rolling and dripping off him like smoke and water. the figure is fully dressed in dark leather; heavy boots, pants, and a lovely leather jacket with a black wifebeater beneath it. he breathes the darkness in, out, a slow and dangerous smile making its way onto his face as he takes in the sight of the hallway. a hand goes to his pocket, a cigarette is pulled out and put to his lips, lit with a flick of his other hand. he runs that hand through his dark blue hair afterward, red eyes bright with malicious intent.]

Well now... didja miss me, dressing room?

Seeing things again?

[there's a sliver of darkness inching down behind Sora, slooowly reaching for his neck...]

[he's starting to worry, because it's obvious he's the only one that sees anything going on.]

I... yeah, I guess. I don't know what's wrong with me.

You should probably go find somewhere to lie down before it gets worse.

[of course, the only one~. there will be a gentle touch to the back of Sora's neck, but if he turns around, the darkness touching him will move as well.]

[of course he's going to turn around, a hand going to the back of his neck and his eyes wide. he couldn't be imagining that, could he?]

That.. yeah, maybe I should. Maybe I'm just tired, or getting sick or something.

Could be.

[how about when it slithers between Sora's hand and neck to wrap around both?]

[he'll immediately try to jerk away with a startled sound, trying to turn to see what's going on and if there's something behind him.]

[nothing behind him! just darkness slowly starting to overtake his hand and neck. 'Kai' looks curious, like he can't see any of the stuff trapping Sora's hand against his neck.]

[his other hand will come up to try to grab at what he feels around his neck, trying to pull it off.]

H-Help! There's something on me!

[which will just get that hand swarmed by the darkness as he steps closer, looking concerned.]

I don't see anything. Hold still.

[he gives a bit of a jerk, then immediately stops struggling, his whole body going incredibly still. Sora will try to play along with it, giving 'Kai' a worried look.]

How can you not see it?

[it'll stop as soon as Sora's neck and hands are covered, since he's no longer struggling. 'Kai' leans in close to peer at the darkness.]

I don't know. It doesn't look like there's anything there to me. Turn around, maybe there'll be something on the other side.

[he gives another little jerk before he turns around, immediately trying to tug his hands and neck free once he can move again.]

Anything? I mean, I can feel it, I know there's something there!

[the darkness starts growing again, inching upward and down until it's at Sora's chin and shoulders.]

...I see it now.

What is it? Help me get it off!

[he's starting to freak out, not liking that he doesn't know what's going on.]

It's darkness. Sit.

[he's not privy to the fact that Sora can't disobey yet, he just thinks it'd be easier to deal with without him standing there panicking.]

[he sits abruptly, exactly where he'd been standing. that doesn't mean he's calmed down at all, though, twisting to look up at 'Kai']

Darkness!?

Sit still.

[how abruptly that happened has him narrowing his eyes a little as he crouches down next to him.]

[he goes completely still like he did before, biting his lip nervously. he wants to keep pulling at the darkness, but can't even twitch a finger.]

[he'll manipulate the darkness, making it feel to Sora as though he's pulling it off his neck- in reality, he's just making it move so Sora's hands are bound in front of him in his lap.]

[he's relieved to feel it pulled away from his neck, but when he sees his hands are trapped together by it, he looks so confused. if he could, he'd be trying to pull his hands apart. since he can't, he's still sitting docilely.]

Can't you get it off my hands too?

I'm just checking your neck first.

[liar liar~.]

[he'll wait more or less patiently then, unable to do anything else.]

My neck feels fine, honest.

If you're sure.

[stands back up. yes, without getting rid of the darkness on Sora's hands.]

Kai? What about my hands?

[he's feeling more nervous, unable to even look up at him.]

I was considering just leaving them.

[...there's darkness rising around his feet. 'Kai's, that is, not Sora's.]
