[like many other Soras, this one here is accustomed to and prone to taking brief afternoon naps. instead of finding him passed out wherever he decided to take this afternoon nap, however, one will find him digging through an open closet and throwing a random assortment of clothes onto the floor behind him. he looks a little distressed.]

Did you now. You'll have to tell me all about that sometime.

[He'll be... trying to steer Sora off towards his room now. Sleep is done in beds, you dork.]

Mmhmm... I hope Kairi likes 'em..

[it seems he's winding down; Sora slows to a stop and looks like he wants to flop down right here.]

I'm sure she will.

[Oh no you don't, mister. No stopping until he's steered you to your bed.]

I like Kairi.

[fwumps on his bed once they finally arrive, and sort of fumbles awkwardly in trying to pull the covers over himself. he gives up after a minute and just curls up instead.]

I know. Maybe you should tell her that.

[Because it is about time you two hooked up, the infatuation is obvious.]

But what if.. what if..

[he goes quiet for a minute, and sort of looks like he's going to stay quiet, but the silence is interrupted by a mumble.]

Don't want bad breath..

[He laughs quietly at that, ruffling Sora's hair just a little.]

Then brush your teeth.

Mm..

[he finally quiets down-- well, as quiet as one snoring lightly can be. if Riku waits another ten minutes or so, he's going to wake up quite confused.]

[He's still around, just kind of leaning against the wall lost in thought.]

[then he'll see Sora sitting up with a yawwwwwn, rubbing his eyes sleepily. his hair is normally kind of bedhead-ish, so Sora's version of bedhead involves one side of his spikes being completely flattened against his head.]

[And that gets a snicker from him. ...Not that his bedhead is any better.]

Morning, princess.

Huh?

[he looks at Riku- he totally doesn't realize he has bedhead.]

When did you get here? ... When did I get here?

[Just shakes his head.]

You really were sleeping, huh? You talk in your sleep, you know.

[... looks mildly embarrassed.]

I did? What was I saying?

Something about a pirate coat. And how much you like Kairi.

[The second part gets a devious grin added to it.]

Oh, well pirate coats aren't wei-- what?!

[good show, Riku, Sora's turned redder than the shirt he's wearing.]

[And here's the genuine hearty laughter.]

You sound surprised.

Well, I mean! I just! I--

[sluuuumps.]

... It's that obvious, huh?

Kinda.

[He still looks all too amused by this.]

It's nothing to get all up in arms over, though. No big deal, right?

Of course it isn't! It's just.. I mean.. Riku, I have no idea how to tell her.

Aren't you the one always saying you should just listen to your heart and follow that?

Of course! But.. what if she says no? What if it doesn't work out?

[for all Sora's been through in the past few years, he really is still just an awkward teenager.]

[He shrugs.]

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

[He uncrosses his arms and stops leaning on the wall at that, looking just a bit more serious ~~despite the fact that he's wound up playing matchmaker here~~.]

You never know what she'll say unless you ask her. Maybe she's got a thing for you too, you know?

... You're right, Riku! It'd be worse if I asked and she said no, than if I never asked and I'd always be wondering what she would have said.

[crosses his arms, scratching his cheek thoughtfully.]

I'm gonna have to think of just the right thing to say. Or maybe I could even learn how to cook.

What, are you going to make her breakfast or something?
