[there is a very frazzled-looking older Kai passed out in a chair in this room, looking very much like he'd simply collapsed in it and proceeded to fall asleep. he's in comfortable clothing, with an apron thrown over it all, and probably smells like a kitchen that's seen a whole lot of use recently. with his Axel pregnant, he's been doing a lot of cooking, and even more worrying. he's been getting some sleep, but everything's starting to catch up with him.]

[was napping, but has come to see where her husbandu is-- oh. poor Kaibb. :C creeps past him to the kitchen to fix something to eat, then. she can do it, she just prefers Kai's cooking~. comes back after a short while with the remains of a sandwich she's already consumed most of, and a big mug of hot chocolate- ninSora's recipe. sets the mug on a nearby end table and finishes off the sammich before leaning over the back of the chair to wrap her arms around Kai's neck, nuzzling his shoulder gently.]

[groans and grumbles, shifting a bit; that's enough to wake him at least partly, so don't mind him mumbling nonsensically for a moment. he doesn't want to open his eyes.]

[kisses his cheek and pulls back enough to rub his shoulders. stop being so tense, husbandu. :< ]

You look like you're in worse shape than I am.

Someone has to make sure you're eating properly.

[oh god that is nice. at least he's starting to melt at the shoulder rubs.]

You shouldn't be neglecting yourself, though. Here, I brought you something.

[reaches over and grabs the mug, holding it in front of him so he can take it, so she can get back to that shoulder rubbing. :> ]

I'm not neglecting myself, promise. Half the time I just can't sleep because I'm thinking about all this.

[ohhhh thank you bb. he'll take that mug and sip it slowly, relaxing even more.]

[rubrub~ kisses the top of his head and uses some heat with that rubbing.]

Stop worrying so much. Everything will be fine. I'm perfectly healthy, and from what I can tell, the baby's doing just fine too.

You won't stay healthy if you don't eat enough, though. Babies are little leeches, you know.

[goddamn, at this rate he's going to just fall back asleep.]

[just as planned-- I mean.]

I'm fine, Kai. You resting once in a while won't suddenly make me spiral down into malnourishment and illness. And I know babies are leeches, this one especially.

I know, I know. I'm just- nervous.

[he can't even word it all properly.]

[stops rubbing and comes around to the front of the chair, parking herself on his lap and wrapping her arms around his neck, nuzzling at his cheek.]

I know, I am too, but I also know that everything will be fine. Maybe you should talk to Ri and Red, and get some reassurance about things.

[you. I still have a mug, you know, or I'd be hugging back.]

Somehow I can't see either of them being particularly helpful to this mindset.

Well. Maybe not helpful, but at least they've been there? Moral support, that kind of thing.

Come on, they could at least distract you for a while. You need some kind of break.

[leans on him and smooches his chin.]

[good. steals the mug for a sip of hot chocolate~]

Well, maybe.

[allows that! and nuzzles at her sleepily.]

Before that, I think you need a nap, somewhere that isn't in a chair.

Mmm, definitely agree there.

Good, that means I don't have to carry you there.

[gets off his lap and holds out a hand to help him up.]

I wouldn't make you do that.

[takes her hand, however, smooching her once he's up.]

But I could if I needed to, which was my point.

[smooch~ starts off in the direction of their room, tugging him along with.]

[goes along with her, nodding.]

I'm well aware of that.

I'll nap with you. I just had a couple of sandwiches, so I should be okay for a while.

[swings their hands a little~]
