Someone's bored... can you tell?

[Anyone visiting the Land of Departure room today might find it a little... different than they last left it. There's a dozen or so Floods and Scrappers scurrying about, as well as two Buckle Bruisers.

These Unversed don't seem to be doing anything nefarious at the moment, but their surroundings are trashed to Hades and back. The grass and trees are hacked up, some of the stained glass windows have had rocks thrown through them, and there's scorch marks on the ground and parts of the castle, itself; but most of the damage is cosmetic, at least.

And in the chaos, a certain bad-guy is nowhere to be found. Or at least, is hiding somewhere out of plain sight.]

(ooc: There will probably be BBS spoilers within. To make things go more smoothly, treat this as a mingle thread (since my work schedule's killing me and my tags will be sporadic) so feel free to dispatch the Unversed as you see fit.)

[Well 'sup, Aqua. It's that silly Riku with the Keyblade again. He's already got his weapon out, though he does look a bit baffled by the Unversed.]

What are these things? Definitely not Heartless.

They're called Unversed. Don't get too close to them.

[She's already dispatching a few with her magic, spinning her Keyblade in her hand to target multiples at once.]

[Nope, sorry, Aqua. He's going to rush at some of the little buggers straight away, delivering a broad, frontal swipe with his weapon once he's in range.]

[Riku's a stubborn kid, what'd she expect?

In any case, he's not letting up on these guys. After all, they're completely new territory for him. Occasionally he'll get some distance and even taunt the Unversed a bit before dishing out some combos, followed by Ragnarok.]

[He's got the right idea. In fact, he's working very hard and is surprisingly skilled, now that she's seeing him let loose. But that taunting is...not the way to go.]

Don't mock them, Riku.

[Aqua strikes one of them into the air and then hits it again, sending it hurtling into nothingness.]

[He nods, keeping his focus on the surrounding enemies. The two of them should be able to plow through them fairly quickly, what with their levels of experience. And to shake things up, Riku initiates a blizzaga, ice crystals surrounding him to nail some nearby floods.]

[She nods as he begins to really focus, watching him proudly. So this was the true power of the Keybearer Terra chose. She helps him finish them, finally relaxing when it's all over. She doesn't dismiss her Keyblade; Aqua approaches the damage to the castle, relaxing when it seems like an easier fix than she first thought.]

Vanitas did this. Which one...is the question now. [She looks at him.] Thank you for protecting this place, Riku.

[If she's still got her weapon out, then he'll keep his at his side, just in case. Giving a quick look around, Riku follows Aqua up to the castle.]

Vanitas... is he that guy with the mask? I saw some posters about him a while back.

With the helmet, yes.

[She nods, sighing.] I don't understand why he'd do this. Of all the rooms, of all the people... And the damage isn't even that extensive.

You'd know better than I would. I haven't run into him yet. For all we know, he could've had nothing better to do.

He's dangerous, Riku. If at all possible, you should avoid him.

I know, Aqua. Just saying that it's possible.

[He looks a touch reluctant at the thought of avoiding him, actually. Maybe because he's stubborn, maybe because of his encounter with Ansem. Either way...]

Fine, but if I do run into him, I'm not going to hold back.

I don't think he's the sort of person who does things on whim.

[She looks at him squarely.]

Just be careful, whether you fight him or not. He's not a person to ever be underestimated.

So what's he capable of?

[He frowns, placing his free hand against his hip.]

He's strong and can wield a Keyblade on his own. He's summoned several Keyblades on his own to use to maneuver himself across a battlefield, like we'd use with our riders. He's fast too, like Ven.

Riders? Didn't know you could use a Keyblade that way.

[Well, the more you know. Either way, he nods.]

I've taken on some pretty tough opponents before. Fast or not, I think I'd be able to handle it.
