[Sora has many different items on his list of things to do today, now that he's spent the past few days busy with all sorts of distractions. the first thing on his list has already been accomplished: there's a pile of envelopes addressed to several different people on the kitchen table where he's now sitting.]

[now for item number two: making spaghetti! Sora's not allowed to touch the stove, so he's having to improvise a little. he's dumped a box of uncooked pasta into a bowl, and is squishing a tomato in his hands directly over the spaghetti. not exactly how Daddy makes it, but close enough!]

*Sora grins and one-handedly spreads out Kira's quilt on part of the floor, inspecting it to make sure it's clean and putting her on her tummy so she can move around. He'll go gather some things from the cabinets now.*

Of course you can help. You're going to cook the noodles!

Wow! I get to touch the stove and everything?

[hang on, he's wandering over and crouching down next to Kira, peering at her to see what she does.]

As long as you're careful, of course you can. I'll show you what to do, but you shouldn't do anything unless a grown-up you know is around.

*Kira will blink big eyes at Sorabug, and hitch forward to try and get closer.*

[Sora flops down on his belly so he's at eye level with Kira. the spaghetti might have to wait, because he's absolutely fascinated.]

*Kira just stares at Sorabug for a moment, before looking at Mama to make sure he's okay, and reaches out from where she's laying on her tummy to touch his shirt, grabbing a handful and cooing inquisitively. Sora just smiles at the two of you.*

[he looks a little confused by the shirt grabbing, but he lets her, reaching up to tousle her hair very gently.]

*Kira doesn't know what to think about the hair-tousling, and looks a little distressed until he stops, though she gurgles out a noise that sounds vaguely like that 'hi', mimicking him. She then starts to flail a little, before pressing her hands flat on the floor, steps that show she's about to crawl soon.*

Isn't she cute? That's your little sister. She loves you.

I'm a brother!

[he beams, and scoots closer to Kira- he looks like he wants to try to pull her up and hold her.]

*Sora will pause in getting the appropriate pans then, and scoot him into a sitting position, very gently, and position his arms to hold her.*

You are. You're a great big brother. Okay, now hold your arms like this, okay baby? Aaaand...

*He puts Kira in Sorabug's arms, making sure she's secure. He pets both of their heads and beams too.*

Be very careful, and don't drop her, okay? She'll cry if you do.

[he doesn't move an inch, eyes wiiiide, but they're filled with awe, not terror-- Sora isn't really sure what else to do, so he just hangs onto Kira awkwardly.]

*Kira stares right back, and gurgles a bit, rather content -- she could do with some rocking though if you're going to hold her, and Sora helps you with that, moving your little arms gently*

[Sora follows the guidance, then, very gently rocking her and beaming just a little.]

*Kira likes this very much, and coos happily at Sorabug, her mouth twisting into a tiny smile.*

She's too little to eat food like that, Sorabug. She still drinks milk.

Chocolate milk? When'll she be big enough to eat taffy and ice cream and pancakes?

No, not chocolate milk. Special milk for babies. She'll be able to eat pancakes and ice cream when she's one year old, but she can't eat taffy until she's much older.

[blinks down at Kira.]

I'll make sure she likes taffy! And bugs and spaghetti and--

[gasps at his own brilliant thought.]

And pizza rolls!

*Kira giggles a little at Sorabug because he's funny :3 Sora laughs at the both of them, because he loves kids ♥*

I bet you will~! She'll love her big brother for feeding her yummy things. But now, we need to get some yummy things in your tummy.

*Sora pokes little 'bug's tummy with a smile, and lifts Kira out of his arms, much to her dismay -- she's whining a bit, but will happily snuggle with her stuffed bunny, Miffy.*

Oh yeah! I gotta put spaghetti in my tummy! -- I gotta cook it first!

[so he scrambles to his feet and starts to drag a chair over to the stove, so he'll be able to stand up and reach the pot'o'spaghetti once he starts cooking.]

*That makes him giggle a bit, and he gets some noodles from the package, handing them to you.*

First, we put a bit of salt into the pot, and then put the noodles in. Can you do that? Don't touch the water, because it's boiling~

[dumps a huge handful of salt into the pot, s-sigh. he kinda freaks at how the water bubbles up in response.]

*O-oh jeez. Sora makes a little face, but he hands you the noodles anyways -- they are gonna be damn salty, but you'll learn over time and he doesn't wanna boil more water ;;*

Next time, just a little pinch, okay? Alright. Let's get those noodles in.

[luckily, Sora is still in the mindset that no matter what he makes, it'll be delicious, taste buds be darned! interestingly, he's a bit more frugal with the noodles, and sticks them into the pot one noodle at a time. kids.]

*He never really noticed these things when he was younger himself, so he is fascinated, watching you.*

Make sure you get enough, little 'bug. You don't wanna be eating a salt-shaker.
