[Kira is curled up on this corner of a couch, idly flipping through a fashion magazine, though she normally doesn't act this lazy. Anyone who looks at her closely might notice the paleness of her skin and the shadows under her eyes, but she expertly covered those little signs under her makeup. However, less easy to hide is the way she is wearing one of her brother's larger shirts (not black), whose sleeves come down to cover her hands. If you think she looks ill, you would be pretty close to the mark.]

I can't control what he or she is going to be anyway. Maybe it'll be a girl, maybe it won't. I know being the only girl must suck for you, but we can't do much to change that. At least in this time there are plenty of girls to make friends with?

[she makes a noncommittal noise and goes back to browsing through the clothes in this closet]

[oh don't do that. he heads over to her, wrapping an arm around her and pulling her close.]

Now don't be like that... I'm sorry there aren't more girls in our family. It must be difficult sometimes, not having family who share your interests. But even if there were more girls in our family, nothing would guarantee they'd be as into fashion as you are. It's not a bad thing that you're into it! But everyone's unique, right? And besides, you've got me to dress up for now.

And I'm not saying you can't help pick clothing out for the kid, either. Especially if it turns out it's a girl.

[congratulations, she's just burst into tears, dropping all the clothes she had in her hands on the floor]

[what no oh god what. pulls her into a proper hug, closing his eyes.]

I'm sorry, Kira. I didn't mean to make you cry.

[she clings to you as she sobs and it's probably not a pretty sight, since any light that filled her while she was happy has disappeared again]

[he knows how that works, and just holds her close, trying to calm her down.]

B-because! Because... I-I'm a bother! No one likes me around!

[she's going to make your shirt very wet :/]

[designer shirts are best wet, what are you talking about.]

Oh, Kira, that's not true at all! You're not a bother, and everyone who knows you loves you dearly. It's true that sometimes you get too enthusiastic about making people fashionable when they don't really care to be, but that doesn't mean we dislike you. Your enthusiasm is part of who you are, part of what makes you the person we care about.

[she shakes her head in denial, since she's like her daddy when she has herself convinced of something]

Y-you probably just don't want me to whine and Rikka calls me a crybaby and I hardly see him and I miss Mama and Daddy and Aden and i-it's so cold...

You could whine at me every day for the rest of our lives and you'd still be my pretty lady. Rikka's probably trying to act like nothing's wrong, and you know how he gets when he's down. Of course he's going to go missing. And... I'm sorry your parents aren't here. I'm so sorry you have to be here without them and everyone else from our time.

You're used to being surrounded by people who you love and who love you, and now the number of people like that has drastically decreased... so it's cold, in your heart, isn't it.

[he won't stop hugging her anytime soon, though he might loosen it a bit to wipe at her face.]

I know you're probably reluctant, even as outgoing as you are, and it won't be the same... but friends warm the heart, too. Don't be afraid to make them, alright? I know it's not the same as having your parents around, but me and Axel will be here for you whenever you need us. And... try to maybe speak with Rikka, as serious as you can about this. Don't be scared he'll call you names or anything, because even if he does... well, he does that anyway, doesn't he? As much as you two fight, you're still siblings. If you're honest and try not to get angry at him, maybe he'll understand. And I know it's not just your fault you guys fight. You egg each other on, whether it's intentional or not.

[she sniffles more, but lets you wipe her face, still looking unhappy but less confused since you seem to understand, since she can't explain it well herself]

R-Rikka thinks we should keep to ourselves. He even wants me to make Belphy go away.

Time is always changing, Kira. Even by being here things are changing. It may not be by much, but it's true.

Your mama's smart, and he knows he can't go see you, sweetheart. Just because you have to avoid some people doesn't mean you can't do anything. You're still allowed to make friends and the like.
