[ Riku would like to think that, one day, she'll get over this. She knows she's herself now, no one else, but there are times when the effects Ansem had on her really make themselves known. And she's really getting sick of this neverending cycle. Especially when even her skin changes colors.

She's kneeling just inside the entrance to Halloween Town, bent over so far that her hair brushes across the ground. Her forehead rests across one arm for support, fingers digging into the dirt, while the other hand clutches at her chest. Her altered appearance aside (and we don't mean her normal black costume), there might be something more worrying about this picture. There are Shadows rising from the floor around her. ]

[She does not look at all happy with that suggestion.]

[his lower lip pokes out a bit at that]

But how else will you know when someone needs help?

I don't need to. I'll figure something else out. I'm not doing something like that.

[She runs a hand through her hair, looking up and down the hall.]

Well... If helping people doesn't make you feel good, what does?

[he's hoping she doesn't say fighting again]

[She pauses like she's thinking about that, but she knew the answer immediately.]

... My friends.

Maybe you can do something for them, then!

[one track mind, what is that.]

No.

[That was quick.]

[sadfaces at that]

Why not?

There's nothing I can do for them.

[She's bordering sadfacing herself at that.]

You never know if you don't ask, though. It doesn't have to be something big, Riku.

[Hesitates, then shakes her head.]

No.

... is there something you're afraid of?

[Her expression goes blank at that, then confused.]

Why?

Well, I was thinking... Maybe if you can't think of something to do for your friends, maybe you'll feel better if you got over something you were afraid of.

...no. There's nothing I'm afraid of.

[Liar, liar.]

[blinks at that a bit, then grins]

I wish I could say that. Half the things here scare me a lot, until I figure out what they are.

[Cracks a small, weak smile.]

You'll get used to it.

[tilts his head at her a bit, thinking. then he's suddenly grabbing for her hand and tugging her along after him]

I know what will cheer you up!

[Whoa hey where are you dragging me-]

What?

[you'll see- he isn't stopping until they reach a room with a nondescript door, and when he pushes it open proudly, the room is.. seemingly empty. there's nothing there but bare walls in a light brown shade, and the floor is a very dark shade of brown]

Go on in!

[She looks very confused, but she goes inside anyway... cautiously. She's waiting for something to happen.]

[the floor is solid for all of ten seconds, then it abruptly turns to near liquid, with what is likely to be a very familiar scent to Riku. Roxas is just grinning, taking a few steps back before running into the room to cannonball right into the substance. when he comes up he's covered in what would seem to be mud... except he wouldn't be licking mud off his lips, would he?]

Isn't this great? It's delicious!

[Riku totally didn't yelp in surprise as she found herself swimming in-- chocolate pudding. She just looks baffled and startled and is trying to wipe it off her neck.]

It's pudding.

[doesn't he look positively gleeful as he gets a good handful-?]

Oh, Riku...

... Roxas.

[If he has any sense for his own safety, he won't do what she thinks he's going to do.]
