[ Riku would like to think that, one day, she'll get over this. She knows she's herself now, no one else, but there are times when the effects Ansem had on her really make themselves known. And she's really getting sick of this neverending cycle. Especially when even her skin changes colors.

She's kneeling just inside the entrance to Halloween Town, bent over so far that her hair brushes across the ground. Her forehead rests across one arm for support, fingers digging into the dirt, while the other hand clutches at her chest. Her altered appearance aside (and we don't mean her normal black costume), there might be something more worrying about this picture. There are Shadows rising from the floor around her. ]

[can, and WILL, do it again, if needed, but for now he'll just kick a couple of Shadows away and hold out a hand to help her up, waiting quietly.]

[She opens her eyes immediately and they are orange again, but she's scrambling back, away from him.]

Don't touch me.

[sighs, but backs off, crouching nearby and looking a little worried.]

Alright, I won't. I just want to help, Riku, if I can. Like you helped me in the pod room, remember? I nearly lost it, and you got me back where I should have been.

This isn't the same! What did you do?

[She can't seem to decide whether to hold her head or press her hands over her chest, and rolls to her side as the Heartless spring at him.]

[catches the first one to leap at him by the face and incinerates it, then blasts the rest of them with fire, being careful with the ones closest to Riku, so she doesn't get burned.]

I tried to interrupt whatever the hell's going on in there, but you jerked away.

How was I supposed to know what you were going to do?

[She's glad to see the Heartless go, and stumbles into a shaky, unsteady stand.]

You could try having faith that it wouldn't be anything bad or harmful.

[but he knows how Rikus can be, so he's not really sore about it. <3 he mostly looks sympathetic, and still a little concerned, but he's not touching her, as requested.]

[She appreciates that, not that you could tell. She looks very uneasy and maybe a little sick, but she's not trying to put any more distance between them.]

Just because you don't think it's harmful doesn't mean it isn't. You don't know what I'm dealing with!

Yeah, I do, actually. And I know for a fact that it works on Rikus with Xehanort issues, or I wouldn't have tried it.

[sidles towards the door a bit, hoping she'll take the hint and follow him.]

[That's a very hostile glare she's turning on him, and her feet aren't moving.]

I don't care what anyone's told you, or what Rikus you've dealt with. Unless you've experienced this yourself, then you don't know the half of it.

[narrows his eyes at her, trying to look casual and relaxed, and failing.]

I guess Kai hasn't told you about how similar we are, then. I've got a thing living inside me too, put there when I was seven years old, against my will, because his previous host couldn't handle it and died. It took me six years to get any sort of control over him at all, and it wasn't until Xemnas recruited me that I was at all able to get Hachibi to do what I want him to do, most of the time. Even now, if he really wants to, he can push me aside and take control, and I'm not always aware of what he's doing when that happens. He could hurt someone I care about, and I might not know until it was too late. So don't try and tell me that I don't know just a little bit about what's happening here.

[The way she tenses up and breathes in makes it look like she's going to scream, or something worse, but she just glares at him and turns to walk away from him. Since he's closer to the door, she'll head into Halloween Town.]

We're not the same.

[makes an aggravated noise and almost moves to follow her, but then catches himself. he knows he shouldn't keep pushing the issue, so he turns and heads the other way, back into the DR proper, possibly to find Kai and send HIM in here. he's hoping you don't lose it and get hurt out there where no one can get to you, Riku. :< ]
