[Aqua's found something pretty weird in one of the rooms; it's a PSP and a copy of Birth by Sleep. She's not really one for games, but the cover caught her eye, so she's seated in a large armchair in one of the main rooms, playing it. She's not very far yet - she hasn't even left Land of Departure - but it sounds like the game's in English, mercifully.]

[Here, have a Ven leaning over the back of the chair. He wants to see!]

[Where did you come from, Ven. She pauses in her beating up of magical orb things to look back at him.]

It's...about us.

[Hands him the game case, which just says some ~enigmatic stuff~ about other worlds and stuff like that.]

About us? But how's that possible?

[He looks the case over, shooting her a puzzled look.]

[Just shakes her head.]

I'm not sure... It seems pretty accurate, though.

[...good thing the save file on the game was at the end of the tutorial, or she'd be thinking about the whole Destiny Islands thing.]

Really? Is it any good?

[As far as fun, he means. Now he's just plain curious!]

[Offers him the game.]

Sure!

[And he'll take it. ... Playing as Aqua is kind of weird, though. Very weird, in fact.]

[It's okay, Ven, it's Beginner mode. ... AI!Terra and Ven are probably KO'd, though.]

[Beginner is a plus. &hearts

Right then. Pwning those energy balls. Cue cutscene?]

[Yep! Stands so she can watch...her fighting Terra over his shoulder.]

[Annnnd Terra using darkness...

And, of course, Master not being pleased.]

Terra...

And cue Aqua being announced as a Master. She's just staring a little- this wasn't how she thought it would go at all.]

[And Terra wants some time alone...

Wait a sec! It's that guy in the suit. Vanitas? He saw him the other day!]

Hey, I know that guy...

You do?

Yeah. I ran into him the other day. He said his name's Vanitas and that he's...

[There's a pause here.]

or something like that. That's not all he said, either...

What?

[Moves so she can look him in the eyes, worried.]

Ven... What else did he say?

Well...

[He pauses the game, looking up at her with a frown.]

I don't know how that's possible, though.

Why would Master Xehanort...

I dunno, Aqua. I've never even talked to him before, so--

[Or has he? If that's true-- but it can't be! Unless...

Because he doesn't , but...

Ngh. Ven shuts his eyes tightly, shaking his head violently.]

He was the one who brought you to us...

[Why is this so confusing. ;;]

He...

[Not. Helping. So not helping.]

[Ven no ;; She's just going to pull him into a hug, trying to comfort him.]

I don't understand! Is that really what happened before...?

[He's holding on tightly. His head's really hurting here. Really hurting. It feels like he should know this stuff, but he's just drawing a blank.]

[sob, BFF.]

...It could be. But it won't come to you by forcing it, okay?

... Okay.

[And... alright. He feels a bit better now.]

Sorry, Aqua. I guess we both got a little distracted, huh?
