[those who wander into the kitchen this morning will probably witness something spectacular: Sora is climbing the shelves in the pantry to get to the taffy, which has been conveniently placed high above his normal reach-- pfff, like there's anything actually out of the reach of monkeys! unfortunately, he'll be learning the hard way why he's not allowed to climb in the pantry: the shelf he's hoisting himself up on suddenly splits under his weight, sending kid and a myriad of soup cans crashing back down to the floor.]

[Sora won't even try to argue a bath; he's pretty sure he's in big trouble right now, so he curls up in Sora's arms and nods miserably, trying to hide his face.]

*well, be glad that he found you and not Ri -- he's a little tougher on you than Sora is, and Sora will probably have to talk Ri down from a big punishment. Sora makes comforting noises, leaving the soup and stuff behind for now*

My back hurts.

[he did land on it pretty hard, after all. that's probably the biggest thing that's bothering him right now, but there will probably be bruises everywhere from those cans landing on him later.]

*he sets you on the table and presses the heel of his hand into your back in several different spots, trying to see if anything is seriously wrong -- he figures you must just have a little backache, but wants to make sure*

[Sora shrugs; he can't really pinpoint an exact spot, but there's something else bothering him, too. he just. bursts into tears.]

[clings to Sora's shoulders, sobbing. it's not that his punishments are ever worse than time outs, he just can't stand being in trouble.]

*o-omg again. he can't stand that face, because he knows it's just your curiosity that makes you do these things, just like he did when he was little and still does*

Sorabug, listen. I'm not going to punish you. I promise. I know it's fun to explore and try find things, especially when someone tells you not to. But you can't just go climbing things. Now you know why, huh? You're still little, but you're too heavy to be climbing in those cabinets. You already punished yourself by getting hurt. Now, let's get you all cleaned up, and if you ask nicely, I'll get you some taffy if you want a snack.

[he can't help but giggle through those tears, though they're still coming pretty strong. he feels an intense wave of relief that his punishment is already over, and he tries to bat Sora's hands away, which is kind of hard while he's still trying to cling tight!]
