[If you're near the Land of Departure room, you may hear the sounds of sparring. It's Aqua, for now, practicing magic and anything else she can in her old home. It's nice to have a little peace at last from the fighting, but she seems preoccupied. Some things she's seen in this place have startled her, and so she's content herself to just staying in the place most resembling her home and doing what she can.

She steps to the side and twirls her Keyblade expertly in hand, finally coming to rest at the end of one of the forms she's been taught.]

That blizzaga catches him completely off guard, as it's rather different than his own. In other words, it nails him right in the side. Well played, Aqua.]

[She turns the Key and dismisses the spell, along with her weapon. She goes over to him.]

That was really good. You've got more under your belt than I thought.

[One second. Kid's got to get back on his feet, and there we go. Once he's up he, too, dismisses the Keyblade.]

Well, what can I say? I train pretty hard. Kind of have to when all the worlds are at stake.

[Le shrug.]

Thanks, though. Didn't expect to hear that from a Master.

[She laughs softly.]

I guess so. I'd expect that...but that's not fully fair to you.

[Aqua shrugs.]

You don't have to call me that. It's a title, but I'd...rather not be formal to friends.

Nah, it's fair. I've created an even bigger mess in other worlds than I did back home.

[And he's being brutally honest here.]

Alright, Aqua. Guess you've got a point.

[Kid, reminding her of the bad things you do aren't helping.]

You'll make things right. I know you will.

[Hey now. He did it all...for his best friend.]

Yeah, but for now it'll have to wait. Not much I can do while I'm here.

You can train and prepare. And then you'll be more than ready for what lies ahead.

I can train all I want, but I can't make things right until I keep my promise to Kairi.

[He reaches for his belt, grabbing the star shaped charm. How's that for familiarity?]

Once Sora's himself again, then I'll finish things for real.

[She pauses, looking at the charm, then at him.]

What I said before, about closing the door. I wasn't talking about the door to my world, but the door to Kingdom Hearts.

I should've closed it back when I beat Ansem. It would've restored all the worlds taken by the Heartless, but I couldn't. The worlds would separate again, and even Gummi Ships would be useless.

In other words, it'd be impossible to find Sora.

There are other ways, Riku. There are other ways to traverse worlds.

[Maybe he shouldn't have said anything at all. Then again, why hide the truth? He knows how much he's messed up.]

Heh, really? The only other way I know's the darkness, and I'm not about to stoop to that level.
