Music is the only solace
[Axel is not usually one to reminisce, or to think about what he had, or the past much. He's built his life by doing what had to be done, and not thinking of burnt bridges. But, for some reason, he's thinking of all the people he's left behind, all the nameless faces of people he's been with in his business, all his family and friends. And he's missing them.
So that would probably be the reason he's sitting in the middle of one of the common areas with a guitar slung over his shoulder. Right now he's just tuning it, but soon a melody starts to come forth. And then he sings. Feel free to listen, or even join in.]

...Axel?

I've been called that name since the day I was born. Hello Roxas, how are you?
no subject
[She sighs. Well, this definitely wasn't her Axel. Something about him seemed... off.]
Erm... I'm okay? I was hoping you were the one I knew, but I guess not.
[She peered down at that guitar for a few moments, before up to his face.]
I didn't know you were musically inclined.
no subject
No, I'm sorry. I'm not the one you know. But I'm sure he'll turn up sometime.
[He smiled.]
I've been playing since I was a kid.
no subject
[She sits with him.]
Oh... then you're probably really good then, right?
[She offered him a small smile.]
no subject
Of course you can. I don't mind, was getting kind of lonely anyways.
[He nodded.]
I'm sure he'll show up, people have a way of doing that.
[He chuckled.]
Eh, maybe? I don't really judge my own music. I played in a band when I was younger. We sold a few albums, but then decided that fame wasn't to our liking and we went our separate ways.

[She looked over to him, smiling.]
Oh, really? I wouldn't know anything about that stuff... I don't really know much about anything, y'know? I've only been in the Organization a little over 70 or so days.

You know where you are right? Has anyone explained that the Dressing Room brings in people from different realities? In my reality there are no Nobodies. Everyone has a heart. I have a heart.
[He nodded.]
Music is awesome.

[She blinks dumbly at him for a few seconds, before she looks at him in extreme curiosity.]
What's it like, having a heart? Is it fun? Does it hurt? Can you feel it inside your chest?
[Please, don't mind all her endless questions. She's like a kid in a candy shop right about now.]
no subject
Easy there Tiger, give me a second to answer you.
I can feel it inside, it pumps the blood through my body. And I wouldn't know any different, I've always had it. Sometimes a heart can hurt, but that comes with life and people leaving or someone hurting you.
I guess it's fun, depends on how well you use it.
no subject
[She made a face at him. That just reminded her of Xigbar.]
Oh... having a heart sounds kinda complicated.
[She turned away from him to face straight ahead, sighing as she moved a hand to rest on her chest, where her heart would be.]
Someone can actually hurt your heart?
no subject
Yeah, it's not a physical hurt, but an emotional one. Someone can break your heart. If you love them, and they don't love you, and they leave. It hurts.
no subject
[She nodded, before looking at him curiously.]
Love? I've only heard about that briefly. What exactly is it?

G'day Roxas. How are you?

I guess I'm feeling maudlin, and that song just called to be played. I don't play much, only when the mood strikes me and it's always what the mood demands.

[but then, he still hasn't discovered what a can opener does either.]

Thanks it's a remake that someone did a while ago. Leonard Cohen, I believe. The version I was singing was by a musician on my world, Rufus Wainwright. It's one of my favorite songs.
no subject
Sorry, I've never heard of either one of them.
no subject
It's ok. I'm sure that composers and singers differ from universe to universe.

I've never seen something like this so large.
no subject
Large? This is the right size for this model of guitar.
no subject
Guitar? Maybe that's why it looks different. Where I'm from we call them lutes.
no subject
Ah I see. No Lute's are a smaller version. Well they are a different instrument all together.
