[someone has fallen asleep amidst a pretty good amount of toy soldiers and dinosaurs, one of the soldiers still clutched in his hand. he's breathing through his mouth because his nose is stuffed up, and he has a plastic dinosaur under his cheek. this will make for an interesting imprint when he wakes up.

he doesn't seem to be having a very good dream.]

*smiles softly and strokes your hair*

No. I'm a Mama. Where's yours?

[rubs an eye, and vainly tries to breathe through his nose]

I dun' got one no more.

Does anyone take care of you?

*is a little worried about that breathing, and picks you up off of the couch, intending to take you back to his room*

Do you want to come have sleepy-bye where it's warm and comfy? My little boy is there too, but he's only two years old.

'kay. Chichi's my new Daddy. I like him a lot.

[cuddles against you, letting his head rest on your shoulder]

*to the room you both go, and he's checking your temperature with his hand, because sick little ones just won't do*

Are you feeling yucky Riku? Can you tell Mama what doesn't feel good?

[he has a very low fever, and all the markings of having caught a cold]

I can't breathe out my nose.. an' it hurts in here.

[is pointing into his mouth to the back of his throat]

*he takes you with him into Sorabug's old room, mindful of getting germs everywhere because of the baby, though no one is here right now -- he's gently placing you on the comfy bed (look, there's a dino pillow!), tucking you in and fussing over you*

Let's get you all warm now. I think I have something that will make you feel all better.

*but before he leaves to get some medicine, he's just sitting and patting your tummy with a smile*

Do you want something yummy to drink?

[he's happy to burrow down into those blankets, enjoying all the fussing and attention]

Apple juice?

I'll see what I've got in the fridge.

*and he goes to see what's in there, but only comes out with a fruit punch, since that's what Rikka loves the best -- look, it's low in sugar 8D*

I have some fruit punch~ you want me to stick the straw in for you?

[nods as he watches you. he's never seen a Sora as old or Mommy-like as you before, but the room is somewhat familiar after having been in Sorabug's room a couple of times before while they were playing]

*he isn't old D:< but he is very mommy-like as he sits you up to give you a little capful of children's cold medicine (it's grape!)*

Alright. Swallow all of this, and you can have your juice box.

*and he's turning on a little humidifier in the room to keep you comfortable and make your throat feel better*

[he's... still holding the cap of medicine, and not looking very willing]

Do I gotta?

You gotta, or no juice, okay? Be a good boy so you can get better.

[gives you the most pitiful look he can manage, as if to say, why do you do this to me? he does drink it though, his face scrunching up at the medicine-y taste]

*is pleased and hands you your fruit punch*

[he's still trying to pout a bit over having to take the medicine, but it's hard when he has what he wanted now]

*is taking that dinosaur plushie and putting it on your head now~ that stegosaurus might be nomming your head*

[blinks, then giggles around the straw, trying to bat it away with one hand]

*okay, okay he'll stop, and he goes to busy himself about the home with a few chores while you have your drink*

[he'll probably be playing with Sorabug's plushies when you come back, the drink having magically disappeared into his tummy]

*well he's glad you're hydrated! and smiles softly at you playing with those little plushies*

[the dinosaur seems to be winning the epic battle of the bed, and Riku's narrating every bit of the fight, though he coughs occasionally]

*well your medicine will be kicking in soon little guy, but he stands in the doorway and watches, a small smile on his face*

[it is, and between that and all the playing he's starting to get sleepy again, though he's trying to fight it]

*he notices and comes over to help get you tucked in*

Riku, I think you need to take a nice nap so that you can feel better. You can play more if you want to later. I'll be here.
