[When this Roxas portals into the DR, nothing seems amiss, at first, though his hood is up. Typical reaction to start: he freezes in place, glancing around, reaching up to pull his hood down to get a better look around. For a moment his expression is just startled. A normal kind of startled.

Then, slowly, it starts to twist into a snarl. An angry, angry snarl as his expression turns dark and thunderous.]

This is not the world where that Beast lives. That's where Riku is supposed to be. I can't miss this chance, not again!

[He tries to open another portal, to leave, but it fails. His expression twists even more, into some bizarre, warped version of grief mixed in with all that rage.]

NO!

[A Keyblade - Oblivion - appears as he slams it sideways into the wall, splintering the wood and kicking up a cloud of dust. Glowering, he rips his weapon out of the wall and stalks away. The hatred radiates off him like a palpable force.]

I'll find him. And then I'll kill him.

The Dark Keyblade? That... that was Ansem. Possessing Riku.

[oh that kind of attitude is definitely not good.]

[He slams a fist into the floor with a snarl.]

Because Riku was too weak to fight him off! Too weak to stop the darkness! If he hadn't been so stupid none of that ever would have happened! He couldn't even save you.

[his voice cracks, again.]

It's not as easy to fight the darkness for people with hearts. Riku must've been... so heartbroken by what happened.

[looks up at the ceiling, trying to imagine it.]

I guess... you wouldn't have memories of what happened after that. Him holding Ansem back so Kairi could escape.

... [he shakes his head, but he looks up a bit and his expression is mutinous]

I don't care. It was too little too late. Besides, I don't care about Kairi.

Sora did.

[seems pretty calm, despite Roxas' expression.]

That's why he stabbed himself in the first place. Because he wanted to free Kairi's heart, because she was important to him.

It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter because he's dead and he can't care anymore.

[his expression is just heartbreakingly pained.]

And Xion! The only friend I ever had, and I lost her too! He fought me, and then he was stronger, and I had to match him ... I drew on Xion's power without realizing. She fell asleep for a long time ... and then she died.

Why did he fight you?

[he doesn't comment on the fact that if Roxas drew on Xion's power, it wasn't really Riku who killed her.]

... he said it was orders. I don't know from who. I haven't seen him since then.

[frowns deeply.]

Orders... DiZ maybe... but why? It wouldn't work like it did in my world...

[and now he's thinking about this, great.]

[Just looks at him, strangely docile. For him, at least. He looks a bit normal this way, just blinking, expression not contorted with rage.]

I don't know who that is. He said he was supposed to bring me and Xion back, but he never said where or why.

[He shifts so that he's actually sitting on the floor, back against the wall, knees drawn up to his chest.]

I've always been a little bit curious about it, but after Xion died ... I don't know. I didn't really care about anything except getting revenge.

In my world... I was sleeping for about a year. Riku had to find you and bring you back in order to wake me up. As for Xion... you had to fight her, in my world. In the end...

... if Riku had to bring me back for something like that ... I would have gone.

[he shuts his eyes]

It doesn't matter. My world won't change just because your world is different.

I know. I'm sorry, Roxas. It sounds like your world got the short end of the stick.

No kidding.

But... there are a ton of Soras and Xions and stuff here, around your age. I'm sure you could make friends with 'em if you wanted.
