[When this Roxas portals into the DR, nothing seems amiss, at first, though his hood is up. Typical reaction to start: he freezes in place, glancing around, reaching up to pull his hood down to get a better look around. For a moment his expression is just startled. A normal kind of startled.

Then, slowly, it starts to twist into a snarl. An angry, angry snarl as his expression turns dark and thunderous.]

This is not the world where that Beast lives. That's where Riku is supposed to be. I can't miss this chance, not again!

[He tries to open another portal, to leave, but it fails. His expression twists even more, into some bizarre, warped version of grief mixed in with all that rage.]

NO!

[A Keyblade - Oblivion - appears as he slams it sideways into the wall, splintering the wood and kicking up a cloud of dust. Glowering, he rips his weapon out of the wall and stalks away. The hatred radiates off him like a palpable force.]

I'll find him. And then I'll kill him.

[he'd been on his way to the kitchen for a late night snack/early breakfast, but he stops short at that bit of destruction. he probably looks older than the Riku Roxas is after, not to mention he's got chinchilla ears instead of regular ones.]

Problem?

[You add these details as if Roxas cares even a little bit. The second he spots Riku something awful sparks in his eyes. He calls Oathkeeper as well and doesn't even respond -- just attacks, quick as a shot.]

[his eyes go wide and he has Way to Dawn out in a flash, moving quickly to defend himself.]

[he gets in close, real close, slamming his Keyblades down with enough force to rattle your bones. but it's just a staying tactic -- he uses the moment to scrutinize Riku closely.]

What the hell is with those ears? And why do you look ... older?

[he leaps back, then surges forward again, Keyblades sweeping low this time]

I'm not-

[he dodges that, probably with a lot more expertise than what Roxas is used to seeing from "him" but he's staying on the defensive.]

-the Riku you know.

[he hesitates. for just a moment. he doesn't attack again, hovering, eyes narrowing to slits]

... explain.

This place is a crossroads.

[he doesn't lower his weapon at all, still tense and ready for the next strike. one of his ears twitches, listening to make sure no one is coming this way.]

Between dimensions. People get pulled in from different times and places. Lots of people. There are probably a couple hundred different versions of you here, at least.

[That throws him. For a moment he looks confused, a bit more like a normal Roxas. Then he breathes out slow through his nose and his expression blanks out. His voice is utterly without inflection.]

Doesn't matter. You're still Riku. You probably still deserve to die.

[so he'll dart forward again, slashing quick and merciless]

[he keeps defending, throwing some dark fire in where he can.]

And what did he do to deserve it?

[He'll counter with some light-based bursts. If Riku has ever fought a Roxas before, he'll notice how vastly different Roxas's control of the light is - no columns, and the light isn't pure. It's pock marked with darkness and seems to come mostly in small orbs.]

He killed Sora. He killed Xion. What other reason do I need?

[the first three words make him stop dead in surprise, just long enough to take some of that light in the arm. but he barely notices, staring wide-eyed.]

He- what?

Riku was too weak to stand up to the darkness. He was too weak to stop Sora from stabbing himself in the chest, too weak to keep Sora from killing himself to save that girl. Kairi.

And then he had the nerve to fight me again. On orders, he said. Then he was too strong, and I had to match his power, and Xion ... Xion gave me that power and paid the price for it.

Everything, all of it. It's all your fault.

[while he speaks his voice never rises or even sounds angry. it's quiet, laced with an almost casual venom. carelessly he throws several more bursts of light Riku's way, taking advantage of his shock.]

[he starts moving again, shaking the shock off, the incredulity of how easily that could've been him--]

My Sora is alive. I regret what I did every day but he's alive and stronger than I could ever be! I'm not the Riku who wronged you!

[his voice tears off with jarring abruptness, rising to crack on sudden rage and grief. it's clear this kid is a little unhinged, but in his fury he redoubles his attack, fiercer and much faster.]

Lucky you! Your Sora is alive! But mine is dead and he'll never come back and then Xion! The only good thing that ever happened to me and he took her away! I don't care if there's a hundred or a thousand of you, I'll kill every single last one!

[shit son. he's kind of wishing his boyfriend was around so he could pull a Valor Form or something, but as it is he's starting to attack himself, instead of just defending.]

It won't do you any good! You have no idea how many people here you'd have after you for that! Soras, Kairis, hell, even other Roxases and probably a couple Xions! It won't change what happened, and this place will just bring back everyone you senselessly slaughter!

[he stops dead. so abruptly it's almost comical, the way he freezes midmovement. It's not that Riku's gotten through to him, no. All Roxas heard was those names. Those awful, wonderful names.]

Soras ... and Xions? They ... they're here?

There are... hell, probably as many Soras as there are versions of you. And Xions- the black haired girls? They're gaining in number.

[catches his breath while there's a pause in action, shifting his grip on his keyblade and watching Roxas warily.]

[He ... looks like he's kind of having trouble breathing. brb sinking to his knees.]

[he's not stupid enough to go over and see if he's okay... but he doesn't want to leave someone like this alone. if the next person who comes across him can't fight, they'd be dead in seconds.]

[Will it help if the Keyblades vanish? Because those are going away now. He needs those hands free so he can rake them through his hair.]

Sora ... alive. I can't ... believe it.

[silent, lowering his own weapon just slightly. he's not going to point out that they won't be any Sora from Roxas' world.]

And you never killed him. He's not dead. Why isn't he dead? Don't tell me you saved him.

[he tries to be contemptuous, but he just looks miserable and small, letting his hands fall to his lap.]

Uh... There's a training room if you need to vent. The walls just kinda fix themselves here.

[WHAT the. He may be mad, but he's not crazy, and seeing double?

Instinctively he summons Oathkeeper and brings both weapons up, but he doesn't attack, instead just staring suspiciously.]

[the Keyblade lowers farther.]

Kairi saved him, in my world. He didn't die, just became a Heartless. And she restored his heart.
