[there's a familiar looking Axel sprawled out on a random bed. he's passed out, the smell of vodka on his breath. he's in nothing but a blanket, a sight that's not that uncommon... what's visible of his body is covered in scars. the one that stands out the most is the one around his left shoulder, which gives him away completely to those who knew him before.

the only problem is, he's not going to remember you. he's going to be a bit hungover and pissed to the nines when he wakes up. he doesn't remember a thing except getting really drunk the night before with his Roxas, and doing some E and... well, not much else.

[the yell he lets out when he hits the wall is loud enough to penetrate the door - anyone nearby is likely to hear it. his head is throbbing, body aching with multiple lacerations and he can already feel the bruises welling to the surface]

[the Heartless descend on him, nothing that he can stop. there's panting and sharp cries of pain and then... silence. for about a whole minute even, nothing but the tearing of flesh. and then, there's an explosion, contained fire racing out from his body and burning up everything in reach]

[he sinks back with a choked noise of pain, his breathing labored and loud as can be in the darkness. every inch of him is screaming in agony, blood running freely onto the floor]

[he's too lost in the screaming of his nerves, the pain that would leave him seeing dark spots if the room wasn't so fucking dark already. he can't even see the demon coming, just feels his presence. he's powerless though to move, only able to keep the fire dancing along his body and nothing more]

[a burst of flame starts on the door near where he's knocking. he can't get up, can't move, but it's the least he can do, burning a slow hole through the door with enough time for Saïx to move back to avoid getting torched. it becomes big enough for the man to crawl through, darkness spilling out through it to let the light of the hall come into the room, showing the burn damage, the broken furniture, the bleeding Axel that collapses to the floor with a strangled gasp]
