Open House

[Well now. Just when things were about to go quiet, it seems that there's a bit of liveliness in the dressing room. Some people are passing through the halls, perhaps stumbling upon weird rooms, getting lost, or just minding their own business in their favorite spots.

Either way, there's plenty of folks to pester and whatnot, some of which haven't shown their faces in ages.]

[ooc: Open post! The DR's been too quiet today, and I couldn't decide who to post with, SO. Pick anyone here, or anyone else you know I play, I guess. Just know that I'm more inclined to pick someone who's active as opposed to someone I haven't played in over a year.]

[... Uh oh.]

Well, where there are flowers there will often be bees, Kairi. It's thanks to them that the flowers are healthy, as the bees pollinate the plants.

[identity profile] hidesandseeks.livejournal.com 2009-09-27 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
What's pollinate mean?

[all she knows is that seeing a bee means 'run really fast'.]

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-09-27 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
To pollinate is to supply a flower or any other plant with pollen, as the name states. It allows the plant to reproduce, thus creating even more flowers.

In other words, although a bee may be a potential threat, they also serve a much grander purpose than stinging. In fact, a bee will generally only sting if threatened.

[identity profile] hidesandseeks.livejournal.com 2009-09-27 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
...oh. Does runnin' away threaten bees?

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-09-27 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
No, no. Of course not.

Rather, if one were to attempt to kill a bee or act in a way that could potentially harm it, then and only then will a be generally defend itself. However, some species are far more aggressive than others.

[identity profile] hidesandseeks.livejournal.com 2009-09-27 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't wanna kill a bee! An' you said they help th'flowers, right?

blatant typo hhh

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-09-27 06:31 am (UTC)(link)
Correct. Therefore you needn't fret; they're simply doing their job, so to speak.

[and he'll pull out the books again.]

In any case, I've been gathering books and other supplies for you, as I still intend to teach you quite a bit.

*patpat*

[identity profile] hidesandseeks.livejournal.com 2009-09-27 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
[nods understandingly, then grins up at him, excited at the idea of learning.]

I want you to teach me! When're you gonna do it?

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-09-27 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
Well, whenever you're ready, I suppose.

[identity profile] hidesandseeks.livejournal.com 2009-09-27 06:44 am (UTC)(link)
[are you serious?]

I wanna do it now!

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-09-27 06:45 am (UTC)(link)
[... Oh, fff. That gets another laugh out of 'zozo.]

My, such enthusiasm. In that case, I don't see why we couldn't.

[identity profile] hidesandseeks.livejournal.com 2009-09-27 07:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Really?!

[she's getting very high-pitched now.]

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-09-27 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course. After all, you're the one who is going to be taught.

[identity profile] hidesandseeks.livejournal.com 2009-09-28 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
[squeals and latches onto his legs.]

What're you gonna teach me?

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-09-29 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
Well, what would you like to learn first?

[...Oh you. Have another headpat.]
