[boom. crash. BANG!

and other such noises can be heard from Roxas' room. if anyone would care enough to peek in through the open door to check what's going on in there they'd find him curled up naked on the floor. it looks like a hurricane has gone through the room, breaking everything breakable and throwing everything else around.

if anyone would care enough to look even closer, they'd see that his right knee looks broken, there's blood on his hands, and he's been crying.]

[shrugs. he really doesn't want to think about that right now. and it would be sort of redundant, as he just crashed it.]

[Sighs, looking at him carefully.]

What can I do to help?

[he shrugs again.]

I just want to go somewhere. Anywhere but right here. I... need to go pick up my sword.

Okay then. Let's go.

[Nods once, stepping out of his room.]

[and he hurries after, slamming the door shut behind him but not bothering to lock it. he heads to a common room not too far away, where there's a sword shoved right through one of the couches. there's a book next to it, which he throws into a corner.]

[He's a bit unsettled by the somewhat violent behavior, but understands Roxas must be upset over whatever happened.]

...I see you got over your fear.

[it takes him a while to figure out what in the world Riku is talking about, but then he nods.]

Y-yeah. Sorry about that.

[he grabs the handle of the sword and puts one foot on the seat of the couch, trying to pull the sword free.]

[Watches him.]

It's fine. Everyone was afraid of something weird, turns out.

No, I mean. Your hair is fine. You d-don't have to do anything about it.

[nods and has to stop trying, panting slightly. it shouldn't be too hard to get that thing out, but Roxas is exhausted even if he refuses to admit that to himself.]

Hmm? Oh. I dunno, I was thinking about changing it anyway. But my usual hairdresser is kind of in a coma at the moment.

[Comes closer to take a look at how deep it's stuck in the couch.]

[nods slowly and tries to pull it free again because again the topic of discussion is closing in on what he really doesn't want to think about. he really doesn't want to break down completely.]

[Riku doesn't want him to do that either, but if it winds up happening, he'll do his best to help.]

...Do you want help with that?

[he moves out of the way, glancing around...

he forgot to wash his hands. he forgot to... yeah, he'll just be rushing off now, muttering something about "bathroom".]

[Glances after him with a bit of worry, but he caught the mention of a bathroom, so he goes back to the sword. Hmm, that means blood on the handle, but he doesn't really mind, grabbing and tugging at it in an attempt to free it.]

[yes, but it should be nothing but flakes of dried blood as the bleeding took place a while ago.

it's not too long before Roxas returns, walking quietly into the room.]

[He's pulled the sword out by then, glancing at the blade.]

Obviously I missed.

[winces and forces the mental image away.]

[Says nothing to that, handing him the sword.]

[Roxas takes it, nodding in thanks.]

[Tries to think of some kind of topic that will be fine to talk about.]

Did you finish that book I gave you?

...yeah. I don't get all of it, but I'm getting better.

[could they... not be in this room, please? Roxas glances anxiously at the door, obviously wanting to leave.]

[Makes for the door then.]

That's good.

[follows.]

Yeah... guess it is.

[He's going for the kitchen next, figuring some tea might be calming.]

You hungry?

[he considers this for a while, before nodding.]
