[Kai has found himself in the garden he usually goes to when meditating or practicing with his Light. but instead of resting against a tree as he normally does, he's lying shirtless on his stomach on the grass, reading a book, with a pair of large, white wings, each feather tipped in pale blue, stretching out from his back. why he's got wings again is anyone's guess, but he doesn't seem to mind having them, slowly folding them back in after that stretch. there's a closed bento-like box sitting nearby, as well as a model of a spaceship and a remote control for it.]

(ooc: Whoop, totally forgot that since he's shirtless, the "worthless" carved over his heart, the big scar near that, and the various thin scars covering his front and back are visible.)

This... funny-looking thing destroys worlds?

Excuse me? Destroys worlds?

[looks honestly confused.]

Only thing I've ever used mine for is killing Heartless and lesser Nobodies.

[...and defending himself and killing your Nobody uh.]

But that's the legend, isn't it? The keyblade was used to bring destruction and chaos upon the world.

To be honest, I've never heard any legends. And Sora, who had one before myself or Riku, she only used it to protect the worlds she went to, and closed the worlds off so Heartless couldn't reach them.

Then I hope those were good worlds, at least.

There's good and bad on every world.

Let me rephrase that, then: I hope those worlds were worth protecting.

All worlds have something worth protecting.

But that doesn't necessarily mean the worlds are worth protecting.

Maybe. But if you let the worlds be destroyed, what happens to the things worth protecting?

They're destroyed if you're too dumb to move them somewhere else beforehand.

And if you don't have a way to move them off-world?

For things like that? Stop caring so much and weigh whatever is worth protecting against the filth of that world, then decide if it's really a good idea for both to exist.

And consider whatever is worth protecting will probably get eaten up by that filth anyway.

Somehow your answer really doesn't surprise me.

[smiles, a little sadly, and looks up at the ceiling.]

[allows it, watching him carefully and remaining completely silent.]
