[Kai has found himself in the garden he usually goes to when meditating or practicing with his Light. but instead of resting against a tree as he normally does, he's lying shirtless on his stomach on the grass, reading a book, with a pair of large, white wings, each feather tipped in pale blue, stretching out from his back. why he's got wings again is anyone's guess, but he doesn't seem to mind having them, slowly folding them back in after that stretch. there's a closed bento-like box sitting nearby, as well as a model of a spaceship and a remote control for it.]

(ooc: Whoop, totally forgot that since he's shirtless, the "worthless" carved over his heart, the big scar near that, and the various thin scars covering his front and back are visible.)

[jerks the wing away with a startled yelp, rolling, sitting up and drawing his keyblade to point at Isa before he even realizes who it is.]

Don't. Ever. Do that again.

[dismisses the keyblade and sits up properly, wings folded tightly against his back.]

The last time I was stuck with a pair of wings, someone decided to mangle them. Don't touch them without permission, please.

A-Alright...

[...ah man, make him feel bad. his expression softens a great deal at that.]

Look, I'm not going to hurt you, promise. The wings are just really sensitive. It'd be like forcefully plucking a hair from your head, except on a bigger scale.

[... he's been exploring this place for a while. a butterfly's perched on his nose, and it doesn't seem to be leaving as he goes over to Kai, curious. and still dressed in his morning uniform.]

Are you an angel, sir?

[blinks and looks up from his book, peering over at Riku curiously before shaking his head with a smile.]

No, I'm not.

Then why'd'you have wings?

[he kneels, hands on his thighs. the butterfly's not going away, stubborn.]

[Oh wow. There's a Namine staring at those wings in awe.]

Because the dressing room decided to give me them again, I guess.

[he doesn't notice her, quite wrapped up in his book.]

Like it decides to send people home and back?

[Well, she's going to walk forward a bit to stand not far from him.]

Um, you're a, Kairi, right?

[Still glancing back at the wings every now and then.]

Pretty much, yeah.

[sits up, wings shifting a bit as he does so.]

[steps into the room, only to freeze when he sees you. he's never felt envy so keenly before, and he's actually stopped to examine the feeling]

Kai, technically, but yeah.

[looks over at her with a smile.]

And you're a Namine?

[every sin's a party, huh. he's too into his book to notice, since Riku hasn't come that far into the room yet.]

Oh, right. Sorry about that.

[Nods.]

Yeah...May I join you?

Of course. Not like I own the garden.

[grins at her, obviously having no problem with that.]

[She gives a small smile and sits down near him.]

Thanks.

[after a few minutes he's found he doesn't particularly care for the feeling and shoved it aside, stepping further into the room, his voice soft when he speaks because he doesn't want to startle you. he knows how strong a wing that large could potentially knock into someone.]

They're beautiful.

[... almost wants to touch, though he stays stubbornly seated. the butterfly's lost a bit of interest now, and flutters over to Kai's cheek.]

[laughs a bit but keeps his head still, absently stretching the wings out. you know you want to touch~.]

[all that happens is that he pulls his wings in a bit tighter and looks over in surprise, then lets them unfold a bit again.]

They'd be better on you. I don't know why I've got them again.
