Well... isn't this interesting?

[This is the infamous return of Terranort. He vanished for some time but now he's back and it happen to be in the labs... with a shadow-heartless in a jar. He's pouring various liquids onto it, seemingly testing for a reaction, but his most recent attempt made the thing make a wail of something that almost sounds like pain. Interesting, that darkness could feel anything like that]

[Not that he looks surprised to see him. Of course, it is a rare thing to see Xehanort ever look surprised. As he calmly pours another thing on him -- this time and acid which bubbles at the bottom of the container. Curiously, the heartless doesn't react even though part of the more solid part of it seems to melt]

A curious thought, isn't it? That darkness could have feeling?

[And here he pokes the heartless with a little rod coated in the vial that made it wail before and them thing scampers around in what appears to be pain]

My, but shouldn't you be doing this, Ienzo? I thought you the most in tune to feeling of us.

I suppose, but are heartless not born from a heart corroded with darkness? Perhaps their sense of 'feeling' is a result of their being, whereas Nobodies lack any sense of such.

[he sighs, watching the heartless warily]

I'd rather avoid any experimentation on heartless, knowing the results. As fascinating as it seems, I'm content without risk of losing my heart yet again.

[Xehanorts tend to have a pretty unique feel to them, so it wasn't too difficult for this to catch Kai's attention. he'll just be leaning against the door frame looking rather unimpressed.]

[There's an entirely different Heartless on the opposite side of the lab, standing tall and watching him with an expression that is almost appreciative.]

With our limited numbers, I had begun to think the studies lost to this realm.

[Interesting or not, that wail has attracted the attention of another Heartless and by what little can be made of it's facial expression it doesn't seem entirely amused.]

[He’s only passing by - he’s never taken an interest in laboratories and the like - but the pale hair manages to stop him in his tracks. Xehanorts of all shapes and sizes tend to have that affect on him. He settles for glaring openly at this one at it messes with the small Heartless.]

[Terra's only watching for now. The last few Xehanorts he met were adamant that they weren't involved with the Darkness, but this man seems different than those that came before... in more than one way. The feeling bothers him enough that he lift his Keyblade off his shoulder.]
