Well... isn't this interesting?

[This is the infamous return of Terranort. He vanished for some time but now he's back and it happen to be in the labs... with a shadow-heartless in a jar. He's pouring various liquids onto it, seemingly testing for a reaction, but his most recent attempt made the thing make a wail of something that almost sounds like pain. Interesting, that darkness could feel anything like that]

... Xehanort?

[--oh dear. He remembers doing something similar during the alignment spell.]

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

[Xehanorts tend to have a pretty unique feel to them, so it wasn't too difficult for this to catch Kai's attention. he'll just be leaning against the door frame looking rather unimpressed.]
seasides: (Shaded.)

*realizes this is almost exactly what Ienzo asked whoops*

So what's the point?

[doesn't move from his spot, just... watching.]

Uh-huh.

[pushes off the door frame and wanders in, hands in his pockets.]

I suppose, but are heartless not born from a heart corroded with darkness? Perhaps their sense of 'feeling' is a result of their being, whereas Nobodies lack any sense of such.

[he sighs, watching the heartless warily]

I'd rather avoid any experimentation on heartless, knowing the results. As fascinating as it seems, I'm content without risk of losing my heart yet again.

It's more than a matter of 'fear', Xehanort. I understand that there are many mysteries related to the heart, but I can't help but wonder if tampering with it is even worthwhile, knowing the inevitable.

I've been gathering knowledge in relation to other subjects, ones with significantly less risks.

If I didn't know any better, I'd think you'd already lost your heart.

[it's stated plainly, though there's a deep frown on his face as he watches.]

Mm. Your actions are certainly rather heartless.

I have seen my own Nobody, spoken with others from worlds where the only result of the experiments was the fall of Radiant Garden and the loss of our hearts. Not only that, but I have lost my heart during my stay here...two times, in fact, and I'd rather not face potential consequences of that caliber again.

Is it?

[There's an entirely different Heartless on the opposite side of the lab, standing tall and watching him with an expression that is almost appreciative.]

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-05-16 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
It would, yes, but... frankly, I'm rather content here, in this world.

I suppose it depends on your point of view. I happen to be of the opinion that even Heartless do not deserve to be tortured.

[in fact, torture is somewhat of a sore point with him. but he thinks that Heartless should just be... released or killed or whatever it is that happens to them.]
