[the sound of fighting is probably audible from outside the simulation room. inside, Kai is fighting Heartless, looking absolutely furious. he doesn't stop when hit, which, oddly enough, isn't happening all that often. probably because his light flares up every time something gets close enough to touch him and disintegrates it. the cause of his anger has to do with his Riku, and the fact that she's now missing an arm. he might not be able to be terribly negative with the whole pure Heart thing, but damn he wants to make whoever did it pay.

any friend of his who approaches would probably not get a whole lot of conversation with him in this mood.]

[don't mind him as he stays at the controls, watching.]

[doesn't seem to notice, just beating on one of the larger Heartless, then whirling around to slash through a couple Shadows.]

[hm. cranks up the number of Shadows, just a tad.]

[the sudden rise in numbers makes him glance over to the controls briefly before he turns his attention back to the fight, cutting through the Heartless again.]

[he stands firm, watching. he won't say anything, not yet. his actions speak louder, anyway. the Shadows are lowered, at least until the big Heartless is the main worry.]

[fine, he'll just concentrate on the big one, then.]

[Not that he has any room to talk about anger management, but he's standing in the doorway watching with a frown.]

[well he'll just be slashing away at those Heartless, a few spells tossed in here and there.]

[Just watches for now. He'll wait until Kai gets most of that anger out as long as he's not getting hurt.]

[eventually the Heartless start to thin out, and he lets himself slow down. he still looks pretty pissed, but he also looks tired.]

[Turns the controls off, then and turns to him.]

Are you ready to talk or should I just turn it back on?

[bites back his first response and takes a deep breath, just shaking his head.]

[was just walking in to do some training himself but stops. he's seen Kai upset before, but never like this.

he's scared.]

[no, this is probably the most upset he's ever been in the dressing room. but all that anger is directed towards the Heartless right now, and nothing else.]

[it's still scary. he'd very much like to go back to his room and pretend he hadn't seen this, but that would make him a very bad friend. so he'll just stay back for now and wait. he'll try to figure out what to say, when he doesn't even have a clue what Kai's upset about.]

[eventually he runs out of things to cut down and just... stands in the middle of the room, gripping his Keyblade tight enough to turn his knuckles white.]

[carefully walks over to him, making sure to be loud so he won't surprise him, and h-hugs him from behind.]

[goes still, surprised by the hug, before dismissing his Keyblade with a soft sigh. he doesn't say a word, though, just letting himself be hugged.]

[After his little adventure in a different room, he's a bit jumpy. So of course, he's thinking about giving combat practice another go, only to find the sim room occupied. He's watching Kai with a worried look from the door, but he'll stay silent for the time being.]

[he's not showing any signs of stopping or even slowing just yet, slashing at one of the larger Heartless with something almost like a snarl.]

[That can't be good. He figured from the flaring up of Light that something wasn't right. He hates being a bother though, so he'll wait and watch until Kai either slows or takes notice of him.]

[it takes some time for him to slow, but it happens once the Heartless are pretty thinned out and he concentrates on taking out the last once before just... stopping where he stands, staring at the far wall.]

[He has a feeling that Kai can already sense him there. But he's cautiously walking in, trying to think of something to say though nothing appropriate comes to mind.]

[turns a bit once Riku's closer, attempting a smile in hello but failing miserably. so much for that.]
